The Kenyan Collection - Maasai Shield Argyle Beaded Dog Collar Introducing The Maasai Shield Argyle Beaded Dog Collar: a vibrant argyle pattern made from red, white, and black beads, which stand out beautifully against the sleek black leather base. The geometric design not only adds a touch of elegance and cultural flair but also highlights the meticulous beadwork characteristic of Maasai art. The black leather offers a sturdy, stylish contrast to the colorful beads, ensuring both durability and a chic appearance for your dog. Sizing instructions: https://www.thekenyancollection.com/pages/sizing-instructions Each dog collar is available in four different widths to suit your pet's comfort and style: Narrow: 1/2" wide Standard: 3/4" wide Wide: 1" wide Lurcher: 2" wide, tapering to 3/4" at the buckle Each creation is meticulously handcrafted by skilled Maasai Mamas using premium, durable leather, with hand-cast buckles and clasps. Crafting one collar takes a Maasai Mama about a day, while a belt requires two days of dedicated beading. The beads are carefully hand-sewn onto the first layer of leather, followed by the addition of high-quality hardware and a second leather layer, which is glued and stitched for added softness and durability. Our Maasai Mamas are encouraged to infuse each piece with their personal artistic touch, preserving the rich heritage and cultural integrity of their work. This commitment to individuality means that slight variations in design are part of the charm and uniqueness of each item, ensuring that no two are ever the same. The Significance of Color: Red - Representing the bravery, strength, and unity of the Maasai Tribe as they face incredible challenges each day. White: Reflects the purity and nourishment provided by cow’s milk, representing health and vitality. Black: Symbolizes the people’s unity, harmony, and strength in facing daily challenges.
