Common Questions What battery types are compatible with this inverter? This hybrid inverter is suitable for 48V flooded, sealed GEL/AGM lead-acid, and Lithium batteries. It includes pre-defined charging programs, and a user-defined battery type with customisable settings is also available for other battery types. Can this inverter operate without a battery? Yes, a key feature of this Iconica inverter is its ability to power AC loads directly from solar input without requiring a connected battery bank. This provides significant flexibility for certain installations. How many inverters can be connected in parallel? This inverter supports parallel operation with up to 8 additional identical units, allowing for large-scale system expansion with up to 45kW of power handling capability. A parallel connection kit is required for each additional inverter and is sold separately. What is the minimum solar input voltage required? To enable solar charging or direct operation from solar panels, your solar array must meet the minimum MPPT input voltage requirement of 60V DC. This typically requires several solar panels connected in series. Installation Notes Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or solar professional to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations. Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter to prevent overheating, as it uses intelligent cooling fans. Observe correct polarity when connecting PV modules and batteries to prevent damage. Install a separate AC breaker between the inverter and the AC input power source for safety and maintenance. Refer to the detailed user manual for comprehensive wiring diagrams and operational instructions. Before You Buy Verify your total power requirements (continuous and surge) to ensure the 5000W/10000VA capacity meets your needs. Confirm your solar panel array's open circuit voltage (OCV) and MPPT operating voltage fall within the inverter's specified range (Max 145V OCV, 60-115V MPPT). Consider if parallel connection kits are needed for future system expansion or three-phase operation. Review battery compatibility to ensure your chosen 48V battery type (lead-acid or lithium) is supported. Note that while Wi-Fi is inbuilt, optional 3G kits are mentioned in some tags for broader remote connectivity. Always verify product specifications and compatibility with your specific system requirements before purchase. Information is subject to change by the manufacturer.
