Technical Specifications Parameter Value Product Model IC-WIFI Compatibility Iconica Hybrid Inverters Rated Voltage 12V DC Communication Cable DB9 to RJ45, 1.5m Wi-Fi Box Dimensions (excl. brackets) 120 x 61 x 34 mm Antenna Length 115 mm Kit Weight (incl. card & antenna) 335 g Connectivity & Power Requirements The IC-WIFI kit offers flexible connectivity options. In short-distance mode, it creates a local Wi-Fi network, allowing monitoring from a nearby mobile device (approx. 10-50m radius). For long-distance mode, the kit connects to an existing broadband network, transmitting inverter data to the DataCenter online server for global access via an internet browser. The kit is rated for 12V DC operation. Most Iconica hybrid inverters can power this Wi-Fi remote monitoring kit directly via the included RJ45 cable. However, the Iconica 5500W grid-tie inverter specifically requires an additional mains to 12V DC/1A power adapter with a 5.5/2.5mm DC power jack, which must be sourced separately. Typical Applications Application Description Off-Grid Solar Systems Remote monitoring of battery status, PV input, and load for isolated power setups. Hybrid Solar Installations Overseeing grid interaction, battery charging, and AC output for grid-tied systems with battery backup. Backup Power Systems Receiving alerts for power outages, system faults, or low battery conditions to ensure reliability. Multi-Site Management Grouping and monitoring multiple Iconica inverters across different locations via the DataCenter portal. Enhanced System Visibility & Alerting The Photonic Universe Wi-Fi Remote Monitoring Kit significantly enhances the operational visibility and safety of your Iconica inverter system. By providing real-time data and historical logs, it allows for proactive management and troubleshooting. The integrated email notification feature ensures that users are immediately alerted to any system faults, warnings, or operational reminders detected by the connected Iconica hybrid inverter. This capability supports timely intervention, helps prevent potential issues, and contributes to the longevity and efficiency of your solar power setup. Common Questions What Iconica inverters is this kit compatible with? This Wi-Fi remote monitoring kit (IC-WIFI) is compatible with all Iconica off-grid and grid-tie hybrid inverters. It is not designed for use with any other inverter brand or model. Do I need an external power supply for the Wi-Fi kit? Most Iconica hybrid inverters can power the IC-WIFI kit directly via the included RJ45 communication cable. However, if you have an Iconica 5500W grid-tie inverter, you will need to source a separate mains to 12V DC/1A power adapter with a 5.5/2.5mm DC power jack. How does the "long-distance" monitoring work? For long-distance monitoring, the kit connects to your existing broadband network and transmits inverter data to an online server called DataCenter. You can then log into this portal from any internet-connected device (mobile, tablet, PC) to view your system's data globally. Can I monitor multiple inverters with a single Wi-Fi kit? No, one Wi-Fi kit is required per Iconica inverter. However, the DataCenter online portal allows you to group and monitor multiple inverters based on their location, providing a combined data overview. Installation Notes Refer to the detailed user manual for wiring and operational instructions. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi signal is available at the inverter's location for reliable long-distance monitoring. Connect the DB9 to RJ45 cable securely between the Wi-Fi unit and the Iconica inverter's communication port. For inverters requiring an external power supply, ensure the correct 12V DC adapter (5.5/2.5mm jack) is used. Before You Buy Verify your Iconica inverter model to confirm if an additional 12V DC power adapter is required (e.g., for Iconica 5500W grid-tie). Ensure you have a stable broadband internet connection if you intend to use the long-distance monitoring features. This kit is exclusively for Iconica hybrid inverters; confirm your inverter's brand and model before purchase. Consider the placement of the Wi-Fi unit to ensure optimal signal strength within the 10-50m range for short-distance mode. Always verify product specifications and compatibility with your existing system components before purchase. This product is covered by a 1-year warranty.
