Basalt 6mm Green Non-Slip Yoga Mat — Grounded Grip, Cushioned Support, Easy-Care Build Center your practice on a mat that’s equal parts calm and capable. The Basalt Yoga Mat pairs a soothing green palette with studio-ready performance: a textured non-slip surface for confident footing, joint-friendly 6 mm (¼") cushioning, and a durable build that’s anti-tear, moisture-resistant, and simple to clean. It’s printed with long-wearing UV-cured digital inks on PER material that’s phthalate- and latex-free (also free of heavy metals), sized to the classic 24" × 72" × 1/4" footprint—ready for vinyasa, restorative, Pilates, and mobility sessions alike. Yune Yoga Why you’ll love Basalt 6 mm comfort—without the wobbleToo thin and your joints complain; too plush and balance suffers. ~6 mm is the versatile “sweet spot” many buying guides recommend for all-purpose practice—soft enough for kneeling and seated work while staying steady for standing flows and single-leg poses. If you’re deciding between thicknesses, REI’s mat guide explains the tradeoffs (cushion vs. stability) and when a textured surface adds welcome traction. REI Grippy, non-slip textureFrom Down Dog to low lunges, Basalt’s subtly textured top helps reduce sliding so you can focus on breath and alignment—not on re-centering your hands and feet. The surface is moisture-resistant, so quick wipe-downs after class are a breeze. Yune Yoga Durable by design (and easy to clean)Daily unrolls? Commutes? Sweaty studio sessions? No problem. An anti-tear core and a finish that’s simple to clean with mild soap and water make upkeep fast and fuss-free. Just air-dry completely before rolling to keep performance at its best. Yune Yoga Thoughtful, safer materialsBasalt is made from PER that’s free of phthalates, latex, and heavy metals, and it’s digitally printed with UV-cure inks so the green artwork stays crisp session after session. Harvard Health Care & cleaning (quick routine + deeper refresh) After class: Wipe Basalt with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap; air-dry completely before rolling so moisture doesn’t get trapped. (The mat’s moisture-resistant surface makes this quick and easy.) Yune Yoga Occasional deep clean: REI’s expert method: a short lukewarm soak + light scrub + thorough rinse, then full air-dry until the mat is completely moisture-free—especially important for thicker mats. REI DIY in-between spray: Mix vinegar or witch hazel with water at a 1:4 ratio (optional few drops of essential oil). Mist lightly, wipe, and let dry. It’s a budget-friendly refresh when you practice several times a week. REI Hot-class tip: A towel on top not only improves grip when you sweat—it also reduces abrasion, helping your print look great longer.
