ECO Mode Automatically switches to standby when the load drops below a preset value (min. 15W). The inverter periodically checks for load and reactivates if needed, conserving battery power. Monitoring Capabilities Monitor in- and output voltage, percentage load, and alarms via the VE.Direct port (requires optional interface or Bluetooth dongle). Remote On/Off Allows for convenient remote control of the inverter's operation. Typical Applications Application Description Off-Grid Cabins & Sheds Provides reliable AC power for lighting, small appliances, and electronics where mains grid connection is unavailable. Mobile & Marine Systems Ideal for caravans, motorhomes, boats, and other vehicles to power 230V AC devices from a 24V battery bank. Backup Power Solutions Can be integrated into small backup systems to provide essential AC power during grid outages. Built-In Protection Functions The Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/800W is engineered for durability and safety, incorporating several protection mechanisms. It is short circuit proof and protected against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperatures. The robust full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology ensures proven reliability over many years of operation. Common Questions What kind of devices can this inverter power? This 800VA/650W continuous output inverter can power a variety of 230V AC devices, including laptops, TVs, small refrigerators, lighting, and power tools up to its rated capacity. Its 1500W peak power helps with devices that have high start-up demands. Is Bluetooth connectivity included? No, the Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/800W does not have built-in Bluetooth. However, it features a VE.Direct communication port, which allows for monitoring and configuration via a computer (with a VE.Direct to USB interface cable) or a smartphone/tablet (with an optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle). What is ECO mode and how does it work? ECO mode is a power-saving feature. When enabled, the inverter will switch to standby if the AC load drops below a configurable preset value (minimum 15W). It then periodically checks for a load (e.g., every 2.5 seconds by default). If a load exceeding the preset level is detected, the inverter will automatically switch back on. Can this inverter be used with any 24V battery? Yes, the Victron Phoenix Inverter is designed to work with 24V DC battery banks of various technologies, including lead-acid and lithium. Ensure your battery bank's capacity is sufficient for your intended loads and runtime. Installation Notes Ensure installation is carried out in a dry area with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating and ensure optimal performance. Keep the DC battery cables as short and thick as possible to minimise voltage drop and maximise efficiency. The inverter can be mounted on a floor or wall; refer to the manufacturer's manual for specific mounting instructions and clearances. DC connections are made via screw terminals, simplifying the wiring process. It is recommended that installation and wiring be performed by a qualified professional. Before You Buy Verify Voltage: Confirm your battery bank is a 24V DC system to match this inverter's input requirements. Calculate Load: Ensure the continuous output power (800VA/650W) and peak power (1500W) are sufficient for all devices you intend to power simultaneously. Check AC Output: This model provides 230V AC with a UK plug. Confirm this matches your appliance requirements. Consider Accessories: If remote monitoring or configuration via smartphone is desired, an optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle will be required. Always consult the official manufacturer's documentation for detailed specifications, installation guidelines, and safety information. Specifications are subject to change without notice. Victron Energy offers a 5-year standard warranty on this power product.
