The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/45 can accept a maximum PV open circuit voltage of 150V. Can I monitor this controller remotely? Yes, the controller features a VE.Direct port for connecting optional accessories like the Victron VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle or VE.Direct USB cable, enabling remote monitoring and configuration via the VictronConnect App on your smartphone or computer. What battery types are compatible with this charge controller? This charge controller is compatible with a wide range of battery types, including AGM, Gel, Tubular plate, and Lithium batteries. How does MPPT technology improve solar energy harvest? Ultrafast MPPT technology continuously tracks the maximum power voltage point of your solar panels, which varies with sunlight and temperature. This ensures that the maximum available power is extracted from the solar array, leading to significantly higher energy yields compared to traditional PWM controllers. Installation Notes Mount the controller vertically on a non-flammable surface, ensuring at least 10cm clearance above and below for optimal cooling. Position the controller close to the battery, but never directly above it, to prevent damage from battery gassing. Ensure correct battery fuse protection as per manufacturer guidelines. For the MPPT 150/45, a 50A to 63A battery fuse is recommended. Connect the PV array such that the maximum open circuit voltage does not exceed 150V. Refer to the detailed user manual for comprehensive wiring diagrams and installation instructions. Before You Buy Verify your solar panel array's total power and open circuit voltage to ensure compatibility with the controller's 150V/45A limits. Confirm your battery bank's nominal voltage (12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V) matches the controller's auto-detection or manual selection capabilities. Consider purchasing a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle or MPPT Control panel for enhanced monitoring and configuration options. Ensure you have appropriate cabling (up to 35mm²) and fusing for safe installation. Consult a qualified installer if you are unsure about any aspect of system design or installation. Please verify all specifications and compatibility requirements with your specific system components before purchase. Product specifications are subject to change by the manufacturer. This product is covered by a 5-year warranty.
