Vectra EX 220 Elliptical This residential elliptical cross trainer — also identified as the EX-220 — is built for low-impact cardiovascular exercise, total-body conditioning, endurance training, heart-rate-guided workouts, and targeted lower-body training. A motorized Power Ramp, variable stride path, moving handlebars, and magnetic resistance system combine to deliver an adaptable home cardio workout for a wide range of training goals. The EX 220 pairs a 15° to 25° motorized ramp range with 16 resistance levels, 10 preset workouts, Workout Accelerators, and a 5-inch high-contrast LCD console. Natural-stride biomechanics keep the heels down throughout the motion, while touch and Polar®-compatible wireless heart-rate monitoring, two user IDs, integrated storage, and a secure device holder support convenient, repeatable home workouts. Key Features Power Ramp Technology: Adjusts the shape of the elliptical path to emphasize specific muscles or engage all major lower-body muscle groups. Motorized Ramp Adjustment: Provides a variable elevation range from 15° to 25° for greater workout variety and muscle-targeting options. Variable Stride: Adapts the elliptical motion for a more personalized, biomechanically natural training experience. Magnetic Resistance: Delivers 16 resistance levels for controlled progression from lighter cardiovascular sessions to more demanding workouts. Moving Handlebars: Engages the arms, core, and lower body for coordinated total-body exercise. Preset Workouts: Includes 10 built-in programs that add structure, variety, and progressive challenge to training. Workout Accelerators: Provides on-screen suggestions designed to help users get more from each workout. High-Contrast Display: A 5-inch LCD presents workout information in a clear, easy-to-read format. Workout Feedback: Tracks 13 workout metrics for detailed exercise monitoring. User Profiles: Stores settings for two user IDs, making the elliptical practical for multi-user households. Heart-Rate Monitoring: Supports touch sensors, a Target Heart Zone display, and a Polar®-compatible wireless chest-strap transmitter. Integrated Storage: Includes a large center storage compartment, reading rack, and Sure Grip mobile phone and tablet holder. Feature Highlights Power Ramp Technology Rather than simply increasing resistance, the motorized Power Ramp changes the shape and elevation of the elliptical path — from 15° to 25° — to shift emphasis across different lower-body muscle groups. Combined with natural-stride biomechanics that keep the heels down throughout the motion, it gives users a stable, ergonomically aligned way to add variety to a home cardio workout without switching machines. Exercises & Training Applications Lower-Body Cardio: Low-impact cardiovascular workouts using the pedals and adjustable magnetic resistance. Total-Body Conditioning: Use the moving handlebars to coordinate the arms, core, and lower body during each stride. Ramp-Based Muscle Emphasis: Change the Power Ramp position to alter the elliptical path and emphasize different lower-body muscle groups. Progressive Resistance Training: Move through 16 resistance levels as cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance improve. Heart-Rate-Guided Exercise: Use the contact sensors or a compatible wireless transmitter to monitor intensity and target heart-rate zones. Programmed Cardio Workouts: Select from 10 preset workouts for guided exercise variety and structured home training. Who This Is For The Vectra EX 220 suits residential home gyms and multi-user households looking for a durable elliptical trainer with adjustable ramp positioning, variable stride mechanics, total-body movement, and structured workout programming — a good fit for cardiovascular conditioning, lower-body endurance, full-body exercise, heart-rate awareness, and consistent low-impact training at home.
