Same $200, completely upgraded internals — the highest-end M&P 2.0 forced reset trigger available on the market, period. The Trigger Supply M&P 2.0 Forced Reset Trigger transforms your Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 into a faster, more capable platform without touching the frame or requiring any gunsmithing. It installs as a direct backplate replacement — no permanent modifications, no specialty tools, no disassembly beyond what any M&P owner already does for routine cleaning. The FRT mechanism uses the energy of the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger after each round, enabling the fastest possible follow-up fire at one round per trigger function. If the forced reset ever fails, the pistol drops automatically to standard semi-auto — you are never left with a non-functional firearm. Why D2 Tool Steel Changes Everything D2 is the steel that industrial dies and cutting tools are made from — a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that holds hardness in the high 50s to low 60s HRC with wear resistance ordinary carbon steels can't approach. In a part that takes an impact on every single slide cycle, that's the difference between a trigger that stays crisp at round ten thousand and one that's gone soft by round two thousand. Every critical component in this FRT is true CNC-machined D2 — not cast, not MIM, not a softer steel with a tough-sounding name — and the whole unit is fully finished to blend with your pistol, so it looks factory and wears like tooling. There are cheaper M&P 2.0 reset triggers out there. There is not a better one. Three Operating Modes Single-Shot Standard semi-auto feel for precision shooting. Deliberate trigger press, manual reset, full control shot to shot. Forced Reset The slide cycle mechanically resets the trigger after each round. Fastest possible follow-up fire at one round per trigger function — fully semi-automatic. Semi-Auto Fallback If the forced reset fails for any reason, the pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto. The firearm never stops functioning. Why the M&P 2.0 Is the Right Platform The M&P 2.0 is one of the most popular service pistols in the USA for good reason — reliable, ergonomic, widely supported, and available in every major defensive caliber. The Trigger Supply FRT takes that foundation and adds a forced reset mechanism without changing anything that makes the M&P 2.0 work. It comes out as fast as it goes in. Your existing holsters, accessories, and muscle memory stay intact. Features Drop-in backplate installation — replaces the factory backplate, no gunsmithing required, no permanent modifications to the frame True CNC-machined D2 tool steel — die-grade tool steel machined from billet, built for tens of thousands of cycles without wear or deformation. The highest-spec material in any M&P 2.0 reset trigger on the market Fully finished to match your firearm — blends with the factory pistol instead of standing out like an aftermarket add-on Three-mode operation — single-shot, forced reset, and automatic semi-auto fallback selectable and automatic as needed One round per trigger function — fully semi-automatic operation. The FRT does not convert the pistol to fire automatically Reversible — reinstall the factory backplate anytime. These spring upgrades tune the M&P 2.0's cycling characteristics to match the FRT's reset timing, improving consistency — especially during rapid fire strings. Spring upgrades coming soon to artakedowntool.com. Frequently Asked Questions What is a forced reset trigger for the M&P 2.0? An FRT for the M&P 2.0 uses the energy of the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger after each shot — enabling faster follow-up fire without the shooter needing to fully release the trigger. One round is fired per trigger function. It is a fully semi-automatic device. The Trigger Supply M&P 2.0 FRT installs as a drop-in backplate replacement with no gunsmithing required. Does this fit my M&P 2.0? Yes — compatible with all M&P 2.0 variants in 9mm, 10mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP including Full Size, Compact, Subcompact, Metal, Performance Center, and Thumb Safety models. Does not fit the original M&P (non-2.0) or the M&P Shield series. How hard is the installation? Very straightforward. The FRT installs by replacing the factory backplate — no gunsmithing, no frame modification, no permanent changes. It can be removed and the factory backplate reinstalled just as easily. Any M&P 2.0 owner who does their own cleaning can install this. What makes this the highest-end M&P 2.0 FRT? The material and the machining. Every critical component is true CNC-machined D2 tool steel — the high-carbon, high-chromium steel industrial dies are made from, with hardness and wear resistance no standard carbon steel matches — and the unit is fully finished to blend with your factory pistol. Other M&P reset triggers use softer steels or cast parts; this one is cut from billet tool steel. Same $200 price, no-compromise internals. What are the three operating modes? Single-shot mode operates like a standard semi-auto trigger for precision fire. Forced reset mode uses the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger for the fastest possible follow-up fire. If the forced reset fails for any reason, the pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto — the firearm never stops functioning. What spring upgrades are recommended? A 4lb striker spring paired with a heavier recoil spring is strongly recommended for optimal reliability and to minimize long-term wear. These tune the pistol's cycling to match the FRT's reset timing, improving consistency during rapid fire. What happens if the forced reset fails? The pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto operation. You are never left with a non-functional firearm — the fail-safe is built into the design. Is the M&P 2.0 FRT legal? Forced reset triggers require one trigger function per round fired and are semi-automatic devices. State-level restrictions apply in some jurisdictions.
