Product Description TOPDON LAC04-13 Mitsubishi Surround-View Calibration Panels An around view monitor is not one camera. It stitches the feeds from several cameras into a single overhead picture of the car, and that picture only lines up if the system knows precisely where each camera is pointing. The LAC04-13 is the Mitsubishi-specific panel set TOPDON supplies for re-establishing that. It is a calibration fixture for a surround-view system rather than a forward-facing driver assistance camera, and the difference between those two jobs is the reason this is a separate part number instead of another target board. Why Surround-View Calibration Is a Floor Job A forward camera is calibrated against a pattern placed in front of the car. A surround-view system has to be calibrated against patterns laid out around it, because the software's task is to reconcile several different viewpoints into one seamless image. Get one camera's position slightly wrong and the result is not a warning light — it is a parking display where the kerb bends at the seam, or a trailer line that does not sit where the trailer is. Customers notice that immediately, and they have no way to tell whether it is a fault or a bad calibration. The practical consequence for your shop is space. This procedure needs clear, level floor on every side of the vehicle, not just ahead of it, with the panels positioned to the layout the procedure specifies. A bay that is fine for forward-camera work can easily be too narrow for this. It is worth measuring your floor before you buy the panels rather than after. When the Job Comes Up Surround-view recalibration is typically triggered by the same events that disturb any camera on the car: body or panel repair near a camera housing, mirror replacement, tailgate or bumper work, glass replacement, a change of ride height, or a camera module being replaced outright. It is also the kind of work that arrives indirectly — a customer complains that the overhead view looks wrong after a repair somewhere else, and the diagnosis lands on your bench. What You Are Buying, Stated Plainly The panels supply the reference. They do not perform the calibration. Your scan tool and its Mitsubishi software drive the routine and write the result to the vehicle; this listing extends that setup to cover Mitsubishi's surround-view system. If you do not already own a calibration-capable scan tool with the relevant Mitsubishi coverage, these panels on their own will not get the job done — tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether this is the right purchase. Before You Order Check your tool's coverage. Confirm your scan tool currently runs Mitsubishi surround-view calibration, and that it does so for the model years you see. Check the part number against the procedure. If the repair procedure or your tool names a specific panel set, match that name to LAC04-13 before ordering. Check your floor. Level ground, clear space on all sides of the vehicle, and consistent lighting. Ask about anything not listed. The data we hold on this item is brief, so if you need to know something it does not cover, contact us and we will get the answer from TOPDON rather than guess. Perfect For Collision and body shops returning Mitsubishi vehicles after panel, mirror or tailgate work. Glass specialists and general repairers who already calibrate forward cameras and are adding surround-view coverage. Mobile calibration operators building out make-by-make capability, provided you can guarantee the floor space on site. Specifications Model LAC04-13 Brand TOPDON Category Camera calibration accessory Make coverage Mitsubishi System Around view monitor (surround-view camera system) Role Provides the reference pattern; the scan tool performs the calibration We are being straight with you about the rest of this table: TOPDON's published data for this part does not include panel sizes, the number of panels supplied, packed dimensions, weight or a model-year coverage list. We have left those out rather than fill them with figures that look authoritative and are not. If any of them matter to your decision, ask and we will source the real numbers. Certification, Stated Honestly No third-party safety listing, conformity mark or vehicle manufacturer approval is claimed anywhere in this product's data, and we are not going to suggest one. Where that can matter: an insurer settling a repair, a fleet agreement, or a manufacturer-backed repair warranty may each require calibration equipment the carmaker has approved by name. If your work is governed by any of those, verify the requirement in the repair documentation before you commit to a purchase. Independent shops setting their own standards will generally find this makes no difference at all. Shipping and Delivery Delivery is by freight to addresses in the contiguous United States, priced live at checkout against the address you enter — we do not print shipping figures into descriptions, because they go stale and turn into disputes. Plan on being able to receive the shipment yourself, or elect to collect it from the carrier's terminal; residential delivery is billed as a separate service. Examine the packaging before signing. Panels are flat, rigid and unforgiving of a crushed corner, so if the carton looks compromised, write that on the bill of lading in front of the driver rather than signing clean and calling us later. Warranty This item carries TOPDON's manufacturer warranty. The product data we hold does not state a term, so we have not invented one for this page; ask us before ordering and we will confirm the current cover in writing. Our claims process is on the warranty claims page. The usual condition applies — an item that has been modified or taken apart outside the manufacturer's authorised service is generally no longer covered from that point on. If a panel arrives damaged or out of specification, photograph it as received and contact us before doing anything else with it. Downloads Brochure Manual Warranty
