TOPDON ArtiDiag Pro — Bi-Directional Scanner with ECU Coding Almost every scan tool listens. The ArtiDiag Pro talks back. Bi-directional control means the tool can command a component directly — cycle a door lock, fire an injector, run a fuel pump, drive a window motor, sweep the wipers, force an EVAP test — and watch what happens. That is the difference between suspecting a part has failed and proving it, and it is the single capability that most reliably shortens a diagnosis from an afternoon of guessing to a ten-minute test. Alongside it sits online ECU coding, which is the other thing that usually forces a car out of an independent shop and back to a franchise: matching and coding a replacement module, coding light modules and ABS modules after replacement, and enabling manufacturer-configurable options such as a moving indicator sweep or an audible confirmation when the car is locked. Both capabilities normally live a tier or two above a scanner of this size. What Bi-Directional Control Actually Buys You Consider a no-crank complaint where the fuel pump is suspected. Without bi-directional control you are testing at the pump, back-probing connectors, and inferring from voltage what the module intended. With it, you command the pump from the driver's seat and either hear it run or you do not — and either answer eliminates half the possible causes in one move. Applied across lights, door locks, injectors, fuel and coolant pumps, windows, wipers and EVAP, that is a great many afternoons you do not spend chasing a fault backwards. It is also how you prove the repair. Re-running the actuator test after the part is fitted gives you something to show the customer that is not simply a cleared light. Full-System Coverage Across More Than a Hundred Makes The ArtiDiag Pro scans every available system — engine, transmission, airbag, ABS, ESP, TPMS, immobiliser, gateway, steering, radio and air conditioning — across more than 100 vehicle brands, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Hyundai among them. It also works as a full OBDII code reader, performing all ten modes of OBDII testing on most makes, including ECU lookups, reading and clearing codes and live data. AutoVIN identifies make, model and manufacturing year automatically instead of leaving the technician to pick a sub-model from a menu — the step where a mis-selection quietly poisons everything that follows. The one-click Health Report sweeps all systems, and codes can be cleared across the vehicle from that same screen. 31 Service Routines, and Reports You Can Send Thirty-one maintenance service functions cover the resets that finish a job rather than merely diagnose it, with additional special functions available per brand through the tool's own special function menus. The practical test of a mid-range scanner is whether a service can be completed without sending the car elsewhere to have a light turned off, and this is the part of the specification that decides it. Diagnostic reports can be generated and sent out by email directly from the tool. For a shop, that is documentation: what the car reported, when, before the work started. It ends the conversation about whether a fault was really there far more effectively than a verbal account. The Comparative Data Display The Combine function graphs up to four live data streams together on one screen. This sounds like a convenience and is actually a diagnostic method: two oxygen sensors, two camshaft position signals, or a commanded value against an actual value, plotted on the same time axis, make a discrepancy visible in a way that reading four separate numbers never does. Intermittent faults in particular tend to show up as a divergence between traces rather than as a value that is obviously wrong on its own. Hardware Built for a Full Shift A 7-inch LCD at 1024 x 600 gives room for those four traces without them becoming unreadable. Behind it, a 4-core processor at 1.5 GHz, 2G of RAM, 32G of storage and Android 7.0. The battery is 6100 mAh, which TOPDON puts at up to 14 hours with the screen on — the specification that determines whether the tool is still working at the end of the day or tethered to a charger by mid-afternoon. The unit measures 246X139.5X34 mm (9.64X4.86X1.45 inch) and weighs 805 g (28.39 oz), and it operates on 9~18V so it is happy on vehicle power. Menus are available in ten languages. Perfect For Independent workshops that want actuator testing and coding without moving up to a flagship platform. Established shops needing a second tool — TOPDON positions this within its own ArtiDiag range as the one with bi-directional control and coding, so it works well as a complementary scanner freeing the flagship for the hard jobs. Mobile technicians and roadside diagnostics, where battery life and a screen you can read outdoors matter more than they do on a bench. Committed DIY owners working on a specific vehicle who want to isolate a fault properly before deciding whether to hand it over. What's in the Box The ArtiDiag Pro tablet and its diagnostic cabling. The product data lists no additional adapters, no subscription and no accessory kit as included, so please plan accordingly. If your vehicles need a specific connector beyond the standard OBDII port, ask us before ordering — that is a much better conversation to have now than on the day the car is on the lift. For a hand-held diagnostic tool that is usually beside the point. It stops being beside the point in one situation worth checking: coding and module replacement work carried out under a manufacturer service programme, an insurer's requirements or a fleet contract can be restricted to named equipment and credentialed technicians. If any of that governs your work, confirm the approved-equipment position with the scheme itself before you buy. Shipping and Delivery We deliver within the contiguous United States, with freight calculated live at checkout from the destination you enter — no shipping figure is written into this description, because freight prices move. Two practical points for the delivery day: you need to be able to receive the shipment, or you can choose to pick it up from the carrier's terminal; and a residential delivery is charged as its own service. Please check the packaging before you put your name on anything, and record any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is present. That single note is the difference between a simple claim and a long argument. Warranty TOPDON's manufacturer warranty applies to this tool. We have not stated a length here because the product data we hold does not give one, and guessing at a warranty term is not something we are willing to do — ask us and we will put the current terms for this model in writing before you order. Details of how claims work are on our warranty claims page. One condition is worth stating outright: do not open the housing or attempt an internal repair on a tool you may need to claim against. On a licensed diagnostic device, disassembly can cost you the software entitlement as well as the hardware cover. Photograph the fault, leave it sealed, and talk to us first.
