The Thermal-Grip TubeSeal® Fastener from TRUFAST® is expertly engineered to provide a reliable solution for sealing blind fastener penetrations in weather-resistant barriers (WRB) and air-barriers during the mechanical attachment of continuous insulation. Specifically designed for use with mineral wool and rigid foam insulation, this fastener ensures that the integrity of the WRB or air-barrier is maintained, preventing potential air and moisture infiltration. By effectively sealing the facer of the WRB or air-barrier, the TubeSeal® Fastener creates a secure and airtight connection between the substrate and the continuous insulation layer, enhancing the overall performance and durability of the building envelope. Constructed from high-quality materials, the Thermal-Grip TubeSeal® Fastener comprises three main components that work in harmony to deliver exceptional performance. The washer is made from robust polypropylene, offering excellent resistance to environmental stress and ensuring long-lasting stability. The TubeSeal itself is crafted from durable polyurethane, providing a flexible yet strong barrier that accommodates movement and thermal expansion without compromising the seal. The screw component is fabricated from carbon steel, coated with a proprietary exterior-grade finish that offers superior corrosion resistance and ensures a secure fastening under various conditions. This combination of materials guarantees that the fastener can withstand the demands of diverse building environments while maintaining its sealing capabilities. Installing the Thermal-Grip TubeSeal® Fastener is straightforward, allowing for efficient and effective application in both new construction and retrofit projects. Its design facilitates precise sealing, reducing the risk of installation errors and enhancing the overall energy efficiency of the building. By using the TubeSeal® Fastener, builders and contractors can achieve a high-performance insulation system that not only meets but exceeds industry standards for air and moisture barrier performance. Whether working on commercial or residential projects, the Thermal-Grip TubeSeal® Fastener offers a dependable and innovative solution for achieving superior thermal performance and long-term building integrity.
