Built-In Protection Functions The TBB Power IH2000BYP inverter incorporates multiple safety features to protect both the unit and your connected appliances. These include: Overload Protection • Short Circuit Protection • Over Temperature Protection • Low Battery Voltage Alarm • Low Battery Voltage Shutdown • High Battery Voltage Shutdown. Common Questions What does 'Pure Sine Wave' mean? Pure sine wave inverters produce AC power that is identical to or even cleaner than grid electricity. This makes them safe and suitable for all types of electronics, especially sensitive devices like laptops, medical equipment, and audio systems, preventing potential damage or malfunction. How does the AC bypass function work? The integrated 20A AC bypass automatically detects when an external AC power source (like shore power or a generator) is connected. It then seamlessly switches the load from the inverter to this external source, allowing your batteries to rest or recharge, and providing continuous power without interruption. Can I use a remote control with this inverter? Yes, the TBB Power IH2000BYP is compatible with the optional TBB-RBYP remote control switch (sold separately). This allows for convenient monitoring and control of the inverter from a distance, such as from a vehicle dashboard or control panel. What battery types are compatible with this 12V inverter? This 12V inverter is compatible with a wide range of 12V battery technologies, including traditional lead-acid batteries such as AGM, Gel, and Flooded types, as well as modern Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Installation Notes ▶ Professional Installation: For safety and optimal performance, installation by a qualified electrician or certified solar/automotive technician is highly recommended. ▶ DC Cable Sizing: Ensure DC input cables are correctly sized for the 2000W output and 12V system to prevent voltage drop and overheating. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for specific recommendations (typically 50mm² or larger for this power level). ▶ AC Wiring: The AC input for the bypass function and AC output should be wired with appropriate circuit protection (e.g., 20A circuit breaker for the bypass input) and according to local electrical regulations. ▶ Ventilation: Install the inverter in a well-ventilated area, free from direct sunlight, moisture, and flammable materials, to ensure proper heat dissipation. Before You Buy ▶ System Voltage: Confirm your battery bank is a 12V DC system. This inverter is not compatible with 24V or 48V systems. ▶ Power Requirements: Verify that 2000W continuous output is sufficient for your intended appliances. Consider the surge capacity for start-up loads. ▶ Physical Dimensions: Check the inverter's dimensions (403 x 256 x 99 mm) to ensure it fits your planned installation space. ▶ AC Bypass Need: Evaluate if the 20A AC bypass feature is beneficial for your application, particularly if you frequently connect to shore power or a generator. Please verify all specifications and compatibility requirements with your system before purchase. Product specifications are subject to change by the manufacturer.
