Its pure sine wave output ensures compatibility with all types of AC loads, including sensitive electronics, motors, and inductive appliances, preventing damage and ensuring smooth operation. The integrated AC bypass function automatically detects an external AC source and switches the load to it, reducing reliance on your battery bank when grid or generator power is available. This intelligent feature maximises battery life and provides a reliable, uninterruptible power supply. For enhanced energy efficiency, the inverter includes an adjustable power-saving mode. When the load falls below a set threshold, the inverter enters a low-consumption state, significantly reducing idle power draw and conserving battery energy. Typical Applications Application Area Typical Use Leisure Vehicles Motorhomes, Caravans, Campervans for domestic appliances. Marine Systems Yachts, Boats, Canal Barges requiring reliable onboard AC power. Off-Grid Homes & Cabins Providing mains-quality power in remote locations. Commercial Vehicles Service vans, ambulances, mobile workshops for critical equipment. Built-In Protection Functions The TBB Power IH1500BYP inverter incorporates multiple safety features to protect both the unit and your connected appliances. These include overload protection • short circuit protection • reverse polarity protection (via internal fuse) • over-temperature protection • and under/over voltage protection. The unit also features a thermally controlled cooling fan to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Common Questions Is this a genuine TBB Power product? Yes, this is an authentic TBB eRay IH1500BYP inverter, supplied through official channels by Solarika. How does the AC Bypass function work? When an external AC source (like shore power or a generator) is connected, the inverter automatically detects it and passes that power directly to your appliances. This puts the inverter on standby, saving battery energy and providing up to 20A of throughput without interruption. Can this inverter power a coffee machine or microwave? Yes, with 1500W of continuous power and a 3000W surge capability, the IH1500BYP is capable of powering most domestic coffee machines, small microwaves, and hairdryers commonly used in mobile and off-grid setups. Is the output voltage and frequency adjustable? Yes, the output voltage and frequency can be configured via internal DIP switches, allowing for regional compatibility. The power saving mode threshold is also adjustable via DIP switch. Installation Notes Ensure the 12V battery bank is disconnected before commencing any installation work. Mount the inverter in a well-ventilated, dry location, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid placing directly above batteries. Connect DC input cables of appropriate gauge (minimum 35mm² recommended for 1500W) ensuring correct polarity. Tighten all connections securely. Configure output voltage, frequency, and power saving mode via internal DIP switches if necessary, before final connection. Connect the AC input to the bypass terminals if external grid or generator switching is required. Important: Professional installation by a qualified electrician or technician is highly recommended to ensure safety and compliance. Before You Buy System Voltage: Verify that your battery bank is a 12V DC system to ensure compatibility with this inverter. Power Requirements: Calculate the continuous and surge power requirements of your appliances to ensure the 1500W continuous and 3000W surge capacity is sufficient. Cable Sizing: Ensure you have appropriately sized DC cables for the input connections to prevent voltage drop and overheating. Ventilation: Plan for adequate ventilation around the inverter to prevent overheating and ensure efficient operation. Always verify product specifications and compatibility with your existing system before purchase. Technical data is based on manufacturer specifications and may be subject to change.
