Supreme SP-12CFX: the warranty is written in three tiers, and that tells you something Most car lifts are sold with a single warranty number, and a single number is a marketing decision. Supreme covers the SP-12CFX in three separate tiers instead: five years on structural components, three years on the hydraulic and electrical systems, and one year on parts. That is the 5-3-1 coverage referenced further down this page, and the structure is worth reading carefully, because it is a manufacturer telling you where it expects the machine to be strongest and where the wear actually lives. Columns, carriages and arms get the long term. The power unit, cylinders, hoses and switchgear — the parts that move fluid and current — get a mid term. Consumables get a year. Underneath that, this is a 12,000 lbs asymmetric clear-floor two-post lift on a 4.0HP power unit running 220V / 60Hz / 1PH. It is aimed at shops that put full-size pickups, high-roof vans and dual rear wheel vehicles on a lift as routine work, not as the occasional exception. Will it fit? Measure these four things first Ceiling. The columns stand 141.25" tall. Measure to the lowest obstruction in the bay, not to the highest point of the roof — lights, door tracks, opener rails, heaters and sprinkler heads all count, and a garage door that opens into the space above the lift is the classic late discovery. Bay width. Inside post spacing is 133.50", and the drive-through width between the columns is 99". The 99" figure is the one that decides whether a dually or a wide-track van can be driven in and back out again without a spotter. Wheelbase range. The telescoping asymmetric arms reach from 30.75" to 59.25". That span is what lets one lift take a compact sedan in the morning and a long-bed pickup in the afternoon without the technician fighting the arms into place. Concrete. A two-post lift transfers the entire load into the slab through the anchors. The floor must meet the manufacturer's specified thickness and compressive strength, be level, and be free of cracks and expansion joints where the anchors land. Verifying the slab, and the anchoring itself, is the buyer's responsibility. If your slab's age or specification is unknown, core it or have it assessed before the lift arrives — this is the single most common reason an installation stops halfway through. Three figures to confirm before you plan the bay Published figures for this lift differ in three places. Each is set out below with its source, and each has a clear next step. Maximum lifting height. The description text and the feature list on this page state 82.75"; the specification table states 70.85", measured with no adapters fitted. If working height under the vehicle is what decides this purchase — and for a shop doing exhaust and driveline work, it usually is — ask us to confirm the figure against the manufacturer's sheet before you order. Overall width. The description text gives 158"; the specification table gives 135". If bay width is tight, confirm it with us first. Shipping weight. The specification table records 1,367 lb, and a second weight field for this product repeats the overall column height rather than a weight. Plan the unload against 1,367 lb and ask us to confirm the crated weight before delivery day. Capacity, drive-through width, arm reach, column height, the power unit and the max rise of 86.50" read the same across every source. Why clear floor changes how the bay works An overhead two-post lift carries a crossbar between the columns at the top. It is a convenient place to hang the hydraulic lines and the shutoff, and it puts a permanent ceiling over the bay. A clear-floor design moves that connection to a baseplate on the ground instead. What you get is vertical freedom. Nothing overhead limits how tall a vehicle you can raise, and nothing stops a gantry crane, an engine hoist, a transmission jack on a long boom or a technician's own head from occupying the space above the roofline. For a shop pulling engines or working on high-roof vans, that is not a preference — it is the difference between the lift being usable for the job and not. The cost is the baseplate itself, which is a low steel ramp across the floor between the columns. You will roll a jack over it and you will sweep around it. Asymmetric arms, and why the doors matter On an asymmetric lift the columns are rotated and the front arms are shorter than the rears, so the vehicle sits further back between the posts than it would on a symmetric lift. The point of that geometry is door clearance: with the vehicle set back, the driver's and passenger's doors open past the columns instead of into them. Anyone who has spent a day getting in and out of a car on a symmetric lift understands the value immediately. It also matters for wide-body vehicles and for tight bays, where the alternative is repositioning the vehicle to reach the interior. One-touch lock release The safety locks engage automatically as the lift rises and hold the load mechanically, independent of hydraulic pressure — that is what stops a lift dropping if a hose fails. Releasing them is the fiddly part on many lifts, requiring a hand on each column. This one uses a single-point manual release so both columns disengage in one motion. In a bay doing twenty lift cycles a day, that is minutes recovered per cycle, and it removes the moment where a technician walks away from a half-released lift to deal with the other column. Perfect for Truck and fleet shops where 12,000 lbs of capacity is the working requirement rather than the headline. General service bays handling everything from sedans to dual rear wheel pickups on one lift, using the full 30.75" to 59.25" arm range. Performance and restoration shops that need clear vertical space above the vehicle for hoists and gantries. Serious home shops with 220V single-phase power, a properly specified slab and the ceiling height for a 141.25" column. Certification, stated plainly Our product data for the SP-12CFX does not record a third-party lift safety certification, and we are not going to name one on this page. That is not a claim that the lift is unsafe — it is a statement about what our data does and does not say. It matters because certain buyers cannot proceed without a specific listing: some insurers require it, many fleet and municipal procurement policies require it, and some local jurisdictions require it for a commercial installation. If any of those apply to you, ask us before you order and we will confirm in writing what documentation the manufacturer supplies with this model, well before an inspection asks for it. Shipping, delivery and installation This ships as freight to the lower 48 states, and the freight cost is quoted live at checkout for your actual address rather than estimated on this page. A two-post lift arrives as long, heavy columns and a pallet of components, and you must be able to unload it — a forklift with adequate capacity and reach, a loading dock, or collection from the carrier's terminal, which is often the simplest option. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, shown at checkout before you pay. Inspect the shipment before you sign the delivery receipt. Look for bent column edges, damaged carriages, crushed cartons, cut straps and missing pallets, and write anything you find on the receipt at the time of delivery, with photographs taken while the driver is present. A signed clean receipt makes a freight damage claim very difficult to pursue afterwards. Installation is a professional job. Anchoring, plumb, level, arm alignment and the first load test all have to be right, and getting them right at the start is what the five-year structural term above is quietly assuming. Warranty Five years structural, three years hydraulic and electrical, one year parts, on the manufacturer's stated terms. If something fails, open a claim before you take anything apart — a cylinder, power unit or lock assembly that has already been disassembled is routinely refused, however correct the diagnosis turns out to be. Contact us first and we will tell you what the manufacturer needs to see. Supreme SP-12CFX 12,000lb Clear Floor 2 Post Car Lift The Supreme SP-12CFX 12,000 lb Clear Floor 2 Post Lift is engineered for high-demand automotive shops, fleet service centers, and performance garages that require maximum capacity, full accessibility, and long-term reliability. Rated to lift twelve thousand pounds, this lift is designed to handle heavy trucks, full-size vans, SUVs, and dual rear wheel vehicles with ease. Its clear floor design allows mechanics to work unhindered beneath the vehicle without overhead crossbars obstructing access or movement. Built with strength as a foundational priority, the SP-12CFX 2 post lift features oversized columns, reinforced arms, and welded structural steel meant to endure daily heavy use. The asymmetric arm configuration provides improved door clearance and easier positioning of vehicles, especially in tighter bays. The telescoping arm reach spans from 30.75 inches to 59.25 inches, ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of wheelbases and vehicle types. This flexibility means technicians can safely lift sedans, pickups, light trucks, and heavier specialty vehicles without constant repositioning. The lift achieves a maximum lifting height of 82.75 inches, giving generous undercarriage access for exhaust work, suspension inspections, and drivetrain service. The maximum rise under runway clearance is 86.50 inches, allowing plenty of headroom underneath lifted vehicles. The overall column height is 141.25 inches, making this lift suitable for many standard shop ceiling heights. The drive-through width between columns is 99 inches, enabling larger vehicles and wide-track models to enter and exit with ease. With inside post spacing of 133.50 inches and overall width extending to 158 inches, the lift offers stability without sacrificing usable work area. Operation is powered by a 4 horsepower hydraulic unit running on 220V single phase. This motor delivers strong lifting performance, smooth travel speed, and quiet operation under load. A one-touch manual safety lock release simplifies operation, allowing both columns to be unlocked in a single motion for faster workflow between lifts. The true clear floor design, with only a durable baseplate across the floor rather than overhead cross-members, maximizes unobstructed space under the vehicle, which is especially valuable in shops that use gantry cranes or tall equipment. Beyond its raw capabilities, this 2 post lift is backed by Supreme’s industry-leading 5-3-1 warranty: five years on structural components, three years on hydraulic and electrical systems, and one year on parts. This coverage reflects Supreme’s confidence in the design, materials, and high-end manufacturing standards built into every unit. Proper installation is essential. The lift must be anchored to a concrete floor of adequate thickness and compressive strength to withstand the forces of lifting and load transfer. Accurate anchoring, leveling, and alignment are critical to both safety and longevity. Because the lift’s shipping weight is significant, proper handling equipment such as forklifts or hoists is necessary during unloading and setup. Contact us for more information.
