Frequently Asked Questions Q: What exactly is a shaggy rug?A shag rug is a high-pile rug with long, fluffy fibres that create a plush, soft texture underfoot. It's a timeless style that instantly adds warmth and comfort to a room. Q: What material is used, and is it durable?A microfiber polyester pile, chosen for its soft feel, colour retention and everyday durability — a practical alternative to wool at a friendlier price. Q: Does a shaggy rug shed? Some initial shedding is normal for shag rugs, as with most high-pile styles. Regular vacuuming (without a beater bar) settles this down over the first few weeks. Q: Is it suitable for high-traffic areas? It's best suited to low-to-medium traffic spots like living rooms, bedrooms and reading nooks, rather than busy entryways or hallways with constant footfall. Q: Will it slip on my floor? For hard flooring, we recommend pairing it with a non-slip rug pad underneath for extra grip and to reduce shifting. Q: Can I get a custom size?Yes, just share your preferred dimensions and we'll have it made to order. Q: How long does delivery take?Ready-to-ship sizes: 12–15 days. Custom sizes: 25–35 days.
