The Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF) is a compact, high-amp fuse designed to provide reliable circuit protection in DC electrical systems, particularly in marine environments. Its space-saving design makes it ideal for applications with tight space constraints, such as DC main circuit protection, inverters, windlasses, and bow thrusters. This is essential for ensuring the safety of your system, particularly with BEP MRBF configurations.Key Features:High Interrupt Rating: The MRBF offers a high interrupt rating, ensuring effective protection for large battery banks and critical components. Ignition Protected: Safe for installation aboard gasoline-powered boats, the MRBF is ignition protected, meaning it can operate safely in potentially explosive environments. Clear Window for Visual Indication: The fuse features a clear window, allowing for quick visual identification of a blown fuse. Color-Coded by Amperage: Each fuse is color-coded according to its amperage rating, facilitating easy identification and replacement. Specifications:Amperage Range: Available in ratings from 30A to 300A to suit various applications. Maximum Voltage: Rated for up to 58V DC, accommodating a wide range of DC systems. Interrupt Capacity: Capable of interrupting fault currents up to 10,000A at 14V DC, 5,000A at 32V DC, and 2,000A at 58V DC, providing robust protection against overcurrent conditions. Installation Considerations:Use with Terminal Fuse Blocks: The MRBF must be used in conjunction with appropriate terminal fuse blocks, such as Skyenergi Terminal Fuse Blocks , to ensure proper functionality and safety. Single Circuit Connection: Each fuse should be used for a single circuit connection to maintain effective protection. Proper Terminal Sizing: Ensure that ring terminals used are appropriately sized (between 3/8" (M10) and 1/2" (M12)) and that the fiber washer seats correctly inside the cable end ring terminal to prevent bypassing the fuse. By adhering to these specifications and installation guidelines, the MRBF provides a reliable and space-efficient solution for protecting DC electrical systems in marine and other demanding environments.
