Reef Iodide, a concentrated stabilised potassium iodide solution, is designed for reef aquaria to maintain and restore iodide levels to their natural state. Unlike typical iodine supplements, Reef Iodide is engineered to remain non-toxic and stable, avoiding conversion to harmful free iodine or iodate within the aquarium. This formulation ensures that iodide remains bio-available to marine life, providing a safe and effective solution for maintaining the health and vitality of your corals. When adding conventional potassium iodide to aquariums, instability can lead to conversion into hazardous forms like iodine and iodate. Reef Iodide addresses these challenges by being complexed with a stabilising agent, ensuring that the entire solution remains in the beneficial iodide form for optimal uptake by corals. Careful dosing is necessary to maintain optimal levels of iodide, which naturally declines due to utilisation and chemical processes. Reef Iodide is simple to use and can accommodate varying needs based on the size of your reef system, ensuring an adaptable approach to coral care.
