Seachem Reef Iodide 2000ml is an advanced iodide supplement designed for reef aquaria, offering a concentrated potassium iodide solution to restore and maintain natural sea water iodide levels. This product is formulated to provide a stable and safe source of iodide that doesn’t convert to toxic iodine during storage or typical reef conditions. In contrast to iodine, which is toxic and unsafe for reef environments, iodide is non-toxic and vital for coral health. Most competing iodine supplements either use potassium iodide alone or highly concentrated, potentially harmful iodine/iodide solutions like Lugols Solution. These alternatives are often unstable, converting to elemental iodine or iodate, both of which pose risks to coral health and lack bioavailability for corals. Seachem Reef Iodide addresses these issues by using a stabilising compound to maintain bioavailable iodide for effective coral uptake. Directions for use vary by expertise level, from beginner to expert, providing tailored guidance for optimal iodide management in reef aquaria. Monitoring and adjusting according to specific aquarium needs ensures the healthiest environment for coral growth. Key Features: Concentrated formula with 8,000 mg/L iodide. Stabilised to prevent conversion to harmful iodine or iodate. Safe and non-toxic for all reef environments. Suitable dosing guidelines for different levels of aquarist experience.
