Seachem PhosGuard is an advanced solution for rapidly removing phosphate and silicate from both marine and freshwater aquariums. Its bead-shaped, highly porous design ensures optimum water flow, significantly outperforming granular phosphate removers that can become compacted and less effective. Although not recommended for phosphate-buffered freshwater, PhosGuard provides a reliable choice for maintaining optimal water chemistry in your aquarium. Through rigorous testing, it has been demonstrated that while PhosGuard is based on aluminium oxide, it maintains coral safety when used as directed. Under typical reef conditions, the release of soluble aluminium is practically undetectable, ensuring the safety of your aquatic life. Furthermore, its non-exchange resin nature means it does not release contaminants back into the water, offering long-term use by allowing it to be dried and reused until exhausted. Due to its efficiency, PhosGuard is ideal for use in high flow areas such as canister filters, box filters, or trickle filters, ensuring maximum contact with water. This product maximises phosphate and silicate reduction with its easy-to-follow usage guidelines. Key Features: Efficiently reduces phosphate and silicate levels.
