Seachem Flourish Iron 250ml is a highly concentrated iron supplement expressly designed for aquatic plants, offering 10,000 mg/L of ferrous iron (Fe+2) gluconate. This supplement is ideal when the iron demands of your aquarium plants surpass the standard dosage capabilities or when clear signs of iron deficiency become evident, such as yellowing between leaf veins or the development of short and slender stems. Importantly, this formulation contains no phosphates or nitrates, ensuring that it specifically targets your plants' iron needs without affecting other water chemistry. Plants can benefit significantly from Flourish Iron compared to EDTA-based iron sources, which provide iron in the less readily usable ferric (Fe+3) state. With Flourish Iron, plants are able to absorb and utilize ferrous iron more efficiently, reducing the need for additional physiological conversion efforts. Application is simple and flexible: use one capful (5 mL) per 200 litres (approximately 50 gallons) to maintain a concentration of 0.10 mg/L iron in your aquarium. For precision, smaller dosages can be measured using the cap threads, with each thread representing about 1 mL. Monitoring iron concentration is recommended through MultiTest: Iron test kit to ensure optimal plant health. Flourish Iron is an effective solution for correcting iron deficiencies which are often seen in new plant growth and can lead to symptoms like chlorosis and reduced stem growth. Key Features: Highly concentrated at 10,000 mg/L ferrous iron Phosphate and nitrate-free formula Encourages healthier, more vibrant plant growth Useful for combating signs of iron deficiency Easy to dose with precise measurements Incorporating Seachem Flourish Iron into your aquatic care regime helps you maintain vibrant and robust aquatic plant life.
