Seachem Equilibrium is a mineral supplement formulated to restore and maintain the ideal general hardness (GH) in planted aquariums. It contains calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts – essential minerals that support both healthy plant growth and fish metabolism. Free from sodium and chloride, it avoids the potential harm these elements can cause to aquatic plants at elevated levels. This makes Equilibrium particularly well-suited for use with RO (reverse osmosis), DI (deionised), or any mineral-deficient water source.Key Features: Restores and maintains essential minerals for planted aquariums No sodium or chloride, avoiding harm to plant growth Suitable for RO, DI, or mineral-deficient water Supports fish health and plant development Available in 300g and 600g sizes Highly concentrated for efficient dosing Equilibrium offers a reliable way to re-mineralise soft or purified water, helping to balance GH with carbonate hardness for stable water conditions. For KH stability, it can be paired with Seachem Alkaline Buffer. Its clean formulation and plant-safe composition make it a preferred choice for aquarists aiming for optimal growth in freshwater planted tanks.
