Schulz SRP 4015 Dynamic — 15 HP Rotary Screw, 120-Gallon Receiver, 460 Volt Three-PhaseMost compressor pages open with output. This one opens with heat, because heat is what decides where a machine of this size can actually stand. Schulz publishes an ambient operating ceiling of 113 °F for the SRP 4015 Dynamic, and it holds that rating from inside a sound-attenuated cabinet that keeps the machine down to 69 dB(A). Enclosed and hot-rated at once is the unusual combination, because an enclosure normally limits a compressor's ambient tolerance rather than being something it shrugs off. What that buys is a siting decision you only make once: no partitioned compressor room, no dedicated extract fan, no corner of the building nobody works in. Behind the panels it is a belt-driven, oil-injected rotary screw air end producing 51 CFM at 125 PSI on a continuous 100% duty cycle, bolted directly onto its own 120-gallon horizontal ASME receiver. This listing is the 460 Volt three-phase build. The cabinet is the productSound attenuation on a screw compressor is not a blanket thrown over a noisy machine. The panels have to absorb the air end's whine while still passing enough cooling air to hold the injected oil in its working temperature band. Get that balance wrong and the machine either roars or trips on high temperature. The enclosure here is built around the airflow path first and the acoustics second, which is how the same box that gets you to 69 dB(A) also carries a published ceiling of 113 °F. It does a second job nobody prints on a spec sheet, too: it keeps brake dust, grinding swarf and overspray off the cooler and the drive belt. Why a screw, and what 100% duty cycle is really claimingA reciprocating compressor is rated for a fraction of each hour. Ask it for more and it runs hot, thins its oil and shortens its own life. A screw has no reciprocating mass and no valve train hammering away, and it carries no rest requirement — this air end is rated to run for all sixty minutes of every hour, indefinitely. That changes how you size an air system. With a piston machine you buy surplus capacity to cover recovery time you are not permitted to use. Here, 51 CFM at 125 PSI is 51 CFM you can plan around: enough to hold pressure under a plasma cutter, a bank of impact guns, or a spray booth without the line sagging mid-job. The air end is oil-injected, belt driven and oil lubricated, with a sight glass so the weekly oil check is a glance rather than a task. The 24 Volt control side, and the mistake it preventsThe machine is run by a 24 Volt microprocessor controller, so operating parameters are adjustable rather than fixed and the display gives a constant reading of what the compressor is doing instead of a pressure needle and a guess — which is most of the reason a fault on one of these is diagnosable rather than mysterious.Alongside it sits an automatic starter carrying phase and sequence failure detection. On a three-phase screw that is not a convenience feature. Swap two phases on the incoming supply and the air end turns backwards, and a screw run in reverse can wreck itself before anyone reaches the disconnect. Sequence detection means the machine refuses to start rather than starting wrongly. A magnetic starter is fitted as standard. Will It Fit?The 2-in-1 layout, compressor and receiver as a single assembly, is why the footprint is what it is: no separate tank to find room for and no interconnecting pipework to have made up. The unit measures 58.5" long, 27.6" wide and 39.8" tall, and weighs 639 lbs.Give it a level, solid floor. That weight sits on four mounting feet and will find any dip in a slab, working itself loose over a season. Leave clear space around the cabinet for the cooling air it depends on and for the service panels to swing — an enclosure is only an advantage while you can still get into it.Settle the power before you order rather than after. This build wants a 460 Volt three-phase supply. Schulz publishes both the amp draw and the recommended breaker as "consult a certified electrician", which is an honest answer rather than an omission: conductor sizing depends on the length of your run and on local code. Confirming the service, the panel capacity and the breaker is the customer's responsibility, and it is the commonest reason a machine this size sits on a pallet for a fortnight after it arrives.Perfect For Buildings already on 460 Volt three-phase — the supply industrial and larger commercial premises usually already have on the wall. Multi-bay service departments using air continuously rather than in bursts. Shops with no compressor room, where the machine lives alongside people and the noise is a daily cost. Hot, unconditioned spaces — the published ambient ceiling is the reason this model belongs on your shortlist. Fleet and municipal workshops where uptime is worth more than purchase price. What's in the BoxOne complete factory assembly: the rotary air end, the TEFC IP55 electric motor, the magnetic starter with phase and sequence failure detection, the 24 Volt microprocessor controller, the 120-gallon horizontal ASME receiver everything is mounted on, the sound-attenuated cabinet, the oil sight glass and a 3/4" tank outlet. Not supplied: the product data records no air dryer and no electronic drain valve on this model, so plan a manual drain routine or budget for that hardware separately. Shop air piping, filtration, regulation and the electrical connection are yours or your contractor's.SpecificationsAir end and output Type Rotary screw, oil-injected, belt drive Delivery 51 CFM at 125 PSI Maximum pressure 125 PSI Duty cycle Continuous 100% Lubrication Oil lubricated, with sight glass Motor and supply Rated power 15 HP Motor TEFC, IP55 rated Supply 460 Volt, 3-phase Control circuit 24 Volt microprocessor controller Starter Magnetic, with phase and sequence failure detection Amp draw and breaker Published as "consult a certified electrician" Receiver, size and environment Receiver 120-gallon horizontal, ASME certified, tank-mounted 2-in-1 layout Tank outlet 3/4" Overall 58.5" × 27.6" × 39.8" Weight 639 lbs Sound level 69 dB(A) Ambient limit Operates in ambient temperatures up to 113 °F Air dryer and electronic drain Not fitted Certification, stated straightThe receiver is an ASME certified pressure vessel — built and stamped to a recognised pressure-vessel code rather than simply welded to a drawing. On a tank holding 125 PSI in an occupied building, that is the claim that carries the most weight. What the product data does not record is any third-party safety listing for the packaged machine as a whole: the electrical assembly, the starter and the enclosure taken together. A pressure-vessel stamp on the tank is not that document, and we are not going to let one imply the other. Some insurers, corporate facility standards and local electrical inspectors specifically ask for an independent listing on hard-wired plant of this size. If that applies to your building, ask us before you order and we will confirm in writing exactly what the current documentation covers.Shipping and receivingThis travels as palletised freight within the lower 48 states, and the cost is quoted live at checkout against your own address instead of estimated from a table.Work out the unload before you buy. A driver's obligation ends at the tailgate, so 639 lbs on a pallet wants a forklift, a dock, or a pallet jack with level ground on the other side. If none of that exists at your address, take terminal pickup and collect from the carrier's yard instead. Deliveries to a home address are residential and carry a residential fee. Collection is also available from our Schulz pickup point in Acworth, Georgia.Inspect the crate while the driver is still there. Damage written onto the bill of lading before you sign is claimable; the same damage found after a clean signature usually is not.WarrantySchulz records this model at 1 Year consumer and 1 Year commercial cover, with nothing extra to buy to hold it.One house rule protects that cover: if the air end or the motor develops a fault, leave it assembled. Once a screw unit has been opened, nobody can establish what failed first, and a claim on a stripped air end is a very short conversation.
