Schulz SRP 3025 Compact: 89 CFM of continuous air from an open-frame package that fits where a full-size screw machine will not This is the compact member of the Schulz rotary screw range, and the reason it exists is floor space. The whole machine — air end, motor and receiver — measures 61 in (L/W) by 26 in (D) by 60 in (H) and weighs 864 lbs. It is a tall, narrow package rather than a long, low one, which means it will go into a corner, an alcove or a plant cupboard that a full-size horizontal screw machine cannot enter, let alone be serviced in. What comes out of it is 89 CFM at 125 PSI at a 100% duty cycle, from a 25 HP TEFC IP55 motor on a 460V, 3-phase supply, with an 80-gallon ASME receiver underneath. The compact trade-off, stated honestly Compact packages get their size from somewhere, and on this model two things are left out. We would rather you knew both before you order than discover them during commissioning. First, this is an open compressor. There is no sound-attenuating enclosure around it, unlike the cabinet models elsewhere in the range, and an open screw machine running continuously is noticeably louder than an enclosed one. Behind a closed plant-room or bay door that is a non-issue and you have saved money and space. In the corner of an open workshop, think it through first — it is the most common regret with open-frame compressors. Second, our specification record lists no aftercooler on this configuration, and also no air dryer and no electronic drain valve. Compressed air leaves a screw compressor hot and carrying moisture; without an aftercooler, more of that moisture stays airborne and condenses further down your pipework instead of at the machine. That is manageable — a properly sloped main, a drip leg and a drain routine go a long way — but if you are spraying, cutting with plasma, or running anything moisture-sensitive, budget for downstream treatment as part of the purchase rather than as a later upgrade. What you are not giving up The compromises above are about packaging, not about how the machine makes air. The air end is the same kind of unit as its larger siblings: oil-injected rotary screw, belt driven, with a solid cast iron pump. It is rated at a 100% duty cycle, so running continuously through a working day is the design intent rather than something the machine is enduring. That is the entire reason to buy a screw compressor at this size rather than a large piston machine, which is rated to run for a fraction of each hour and designed to stop and cool between them. Controls and three-phase protection A 24V microprocessor controller runs the machine, with adjustable operating parameters and a continuous readout so setup fits your shop and a fault reports itself rather than needing to be deduced. Automatic starters include phase and sequence failure detection, and a magnetic starter is fitted as standard. That protection is worth understanding rather than skimming. A supply connected in the wrong rotation will turn a screw air end backwards and damage it in short order, and a lost phase will overheat a motor that still sounds like it is working. Both are detected here before the machine runs. Note one more thing our record is explicit about: there is no pump low-oil shut-off on this configuration. Oil level checking is a human routine on this machine, so put it on the maintenance schedule and give it to someone by name. Will It Fit? Work to 61 in (L/W), 26 in (D) and 60 in (H), plus clear space around the machine for cooling air and service access — a compact unit still needs to breathe, and an open frame pushed against a wall is a machine running hotter than it should. At 864 lbs it wants sound, level concrete under it. Air leaves through a 3/4-inch tank outlet; size your shop main to suit rather than continuing at outlet size across a long run. Electrically this is a 460V, 3-phase machine. Our record gives the amp draw and the recommended breaker as items to confirm with a certified electrician rather than as printed figures, and that is the correct answer — the conductors and overcurrent protection depend on your run length and local code. The supply, disconnect, breaker and conductors are the customer's responsibility and require a licensed electrician. Confirm your building's supply voltage before ordering, because the motor is wound for it and cannot be changed in the field. Perfect For Shops short on floor area that still need continuous-duty air — the footprint is the reason to choose this one. Plant rooms and enclosed compressor spaces, where the open frame costs you nothing. Buildings with a 460V three-phase service and a mid-range continuous demand. Buyers replacing a large piston compressor in the same corner it has always occupied. What Is in the Box One compact 2-In-1 unit: the open rotary air end and motor mounted on the 80-gallon horizontal ASME receiver, with a magnetic starter, the 24V microprocessor controller and an oil sight glass fitted. Our record is clear about what is not on this configuration — no aftercooler, no air dryer, no electronic drain valve and no pump low-oil shut-off. If your installation needs air treatment, specify it alongside the compressor so it arrives together and gets installed once. What we can tell you is the shape of the answer: this is an open-frame machine, so expect it to be louder than the enclosed cabinet models in the same range. If a specific noise level matters — a lease condition, a local ordinance, a shared wall — ask us and we will get the figure from the manufacturer specification sheet before you commit. Certification, stated plainly The 80-gallon receiver is ASME certified: a pressure-vessel code covering the tank's design, its material, its welding and its inspection. That is the certification worth having on the component that stores the energy, and it is the one an inspector will ask about first. It is not a safety listing for the machine as an electrical assembly, and no such listing is claimed in our data for this package. On an open-frame machine, where the electrical components are more accessible than they would be inside a cabinet, that distinction is worth stating rather than glossing. If your insurer, your local authority or an internal safety policy requires an equipment-level listing, establish that first and ask us to confirm what this unit carries. Shipping, delivery and pickup Freight to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout so the price is current for your address instead of frozen into this page. This is the lightest machine in the family, which makes the unload easier but does not make it a two-person lift — arrange a forklift, or collect from the carrier terminal. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee, shown at checkout before you pay. Schulz equipment can also be picked up in Acworth, GA. On an open-frame unit the inspection at delivery matters more than usual, because there is no cabinet protecting the components: look it over carefully while the driver is still there and record any damage on the delivery paperwork before signing. Call, text or chat with questions: 866-774-7743. Warranty A 12-month warranty is listed for this machine. Keep the electrical commissioning paperwork and start an oil and filter log on day one — with no low-oil shut-off fitted, the maintenance record is doing more work here than it does on a machine that protects itself. If a fault develops, contact us before anything is opened; do not dismantle the air end, the separator or the electrical panel ahead of a claim.
