Common Questions What devices can I charge with the Flip Pro Plus? You can charge a wide range of USB-A and USB-C compatible devices, including smartphones, tablets (like iPads), action cameras, drones, GPS units, and even USB-C powered laptops, especially when connected to a 24V system for the full 60W output. Is this charger suitable for outdoor marine use? Yes, the Scanstrut Flip Pro Plus is specifically designed for marine and RV environments. It features marine-grade, UV-resistant materials, a 316 stainless steel hinge, and an IPX4 waterproof rating when the cover is closed, making it washdown-ready and resistant to harsh outdoor conditions. What input voltage does the Flip Pro Plus require? The charger operates on a wide input voltage range of 10-32V DC, making it compatible with both 12V and 24V electrical systems commonly found in marine vessels and recreational vehicles. How does the spring-loaded cover work? The spring-loaded cover is designed to lock shut when not in use, providing an IPX4 waterproof seal to protect the USB ports from water and debris. When charging, it locks open to securely hold your cables in place, preventing accidental disconnections. Installation Notes Installation requires drilling a Ø32mm (1 1/8") hole in the mounting surface. A 10A fuse is recommended for the input circuit to protect the charger and system. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and correctly polarised (positive to positive, negative to negative). For optimal performance, use high-quality, appropriately sized marine-grade wiring. Professional installation is recommended for marine and RV electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance. Before You Buy Verify your vessel's or vehicle's electrical system voltage (12V or 24V DC) to understand the maximum charging output available. Consider the mounting location carefully, ensuring sufficient space behind the panel for installation and wiring. Ensure the charging cables supplied with your devices are used for optimal charging performance, especially for high-power devices like laptops. This product is designed for permanent installation into a panel or console. Always verify product specifications and compatibility with your existing system before purchase.
