Robinair AC1234-9 Connected ACS Machine for R-1234yf R-1234yf is expensive, and that single fact changes what you should look for in a machine that handles it. The AC1234-9 answers it with an integrated refrigerant identifier: before a drop of anything is drawn in, the machine samples what is actually in the vehicle. A blended, contaminated or simply wrong charge is refused at the hose instead of ending up in the machine's internal supply — where it would quietly ruin a tank of refrigerant and contaminate every car serviced after it. Around that sits a fully connected, largely hands-off service unit: a 10" capacitive touch LCD, recovery quoted at 98.5% efficiency, automatic internal refrigerant refill and automatic oil drain, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for updates and record keeping. Contamination is the risk that actually costs money On an older R-134a machine, a bad charge is an annoyance. On an R-1234yf machine, it is an event with a number attached. The refrigerant costs several times what the previous generation did, machines of this type hold and reuse it internally, and a contaminated internal source is not something you can filter your way out of on a Friday afternoon — it means recovering the machine's own supply and starting again. The identifier being integrated rather than a separate instrument is what makes it get used. A standalone analyser is a second device, a second connection and a step a busy technician can skip. Built into the service sequence, identification happens because the machine does it, not because someone remembered. Robinair's own description of the feature is that it saves time on services while protecting the machine and its internal refrigerant source from harmful contamination — both halves of that are the argument. The interface, and who ends up using it The 10" capacitive LCD touch screen replaces a keypad-and-two-line-display arrangement that most technicians learned by rote. That changes something practical: a machine that explains itself on screen is one that a second or third technician can run correctly without a training session, and the interface makes starting a service quicker for the person who runs it every day. In a shop where the A/C machine moves between bays and between people, this is the difference between one person owning the machine and everyone being able to use it. Automation you actually notice Fully automatic operation means a full cycle can be programmed and left — recover, vacuum, leak test and charge, without operating panel valves — or individual functions can be run alone when the job only calls for one. Two of the automations are worth calling out because they remove interruptions rather than keystrokes. Automatic internal refrigerant refill keeps the onboard supply topped up, so a service does not stop halfway to fill a tank. Automatic oil drain measures what came out, which is what makes putting the right amount back a measurement rather than an estimate. Connected: what the Wi-Fi is for Wireless connectivity delivers automatic software updates, so the machine keeps current with new capability as it is released rather than being frozen at the specification it shipped with. It also allows service data and machine metrics to be retained and stored — proactive service reminders, refrigerant use tracked and reported, and prior vehicle services recalled from the machine. For a shop billing R-1234yf work, being able to show what was recovered and what was charged on a specific vehicle is worth as much as the service itself. Perfect For Shops seeing newer vehicles, where R-1234yf has replaced the older refrigerant across most of the fleet. Dealerships that need identification and documentation as standard procedure, not as an option. Multi-technician workshops sharing one machine across bays and shifts. Fleet and municipal operations reporting refrigerant use. Any shop that has already been burned by a contaminated charge and does not intend to repeat it. What's in the Box The machine with its integrated refrigerant identifier, the 10" touch screen, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as fitted capability rather than upgrades. Refrigerant is not supplied with the machine, and vehicle-specific service adaptors are not assumed to be included — ask us if you need a starting kit, and we will confirm what is in the carton for the current production run rather than describe an older one. Specifications Model Robinair AC1234-9 Refrigerant R-1234yf Recovery efficiency 98.5% Display 10" capacitive touch LCD Refrigerant identifier Integrated; samples before recovery Connectivity Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, automatic software updates Automated functions Recover, recycle, evacuate, leak test, recharge; internal refill, oil drain Certification, and what we will not claim We will not put a standards badge on this page that our data for this product does not carry. The information we hold describes the machine's functions and its recovery efficiency; it does not name a refrigerant-equipment standard or a third-party listing for this particular listing, so none is written here. That is a limit on what we know, not a claim about the machine — and it is precisely the sort of thing a page should never fill in from what similar equipment usually carries. Where a shop policy, an insurer or a manufacturer's warranty programme requires documented equipment compliance before you can use a machine on their vehicles, contact us first and we will obtain the manufacturer's documentation for the exact unit shipping today. Shipping and Delivery Sent as freight within the lower 48 states — no parcel service handles a machine of this size and value. Before the truck arrives, decide how it comes off it: a dock, a forklift, or a collection from the freight terminal, which many shops prefer because it can be scheduled rather than waited for. If the delivery address is residential, that is available and a residential fee applies, quoted live at checkout. Do the inspection before you sign. Damage written onto the bill of lading in front of the driver is a claim; damage found the next morning after a clean signature is an argument. Warranty The manufacturer's warranty covers this machine and the current terms are published on our warranty claims page, deliberately rather than being restated here where they would go out of date. If something goes wrong, raise the claim before anyone opens the machine. That is not a formality on refrigerant equipment: the identifier, the internal cylinder and the scale are calibrated assemblies, an opened unit is routinely declined, and an internal investigation can turn a covered fault into an uncovered one in about ten minutes. Product Features and Benefits: New 10" capacitive LCD touch screen and intuitive user interface makes navigation much easier and beginning service quicker Incorporated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology enable many new features and capabilities making this the most advanced A/C RRR machine on the market today Automatic updates ensure your machine always has the most current software, as well as access to new features and capabilities as they become available Service data management and machine metrics can be retained and stored allowing for proactive service reminders, refrigerant use tracking and reporting, or recalling prior vehicle services performed by the ACS machine Integrated Refrigerant Identifier saves time on services and protects your ACS machine and internal refrigerant source from harmful contamination Pick Up and Delivery Call, text, or chat with us if you have questions. 866-774-7743
