Quincy QGS 25 HP 132 Gallon Rotary Screw Air Compressor with Dryer Part number 4152026541 is the machine to buy when you are fairly sure you will need more air later but do not want to pay for it today. Its Infologic2 Basic microprocessor controller will network up to six QGS units in the 20 to 30 HP range, which means a second compressor bought in two or three years joins this one under a single control scheme rather than being wired in as a rival. Programmable auto-restart and remote start/stop come as part of the same package. What you get in the meantime is a complete, self-contained air system: a 25 HP oil-injected twin screw airend rated for a 100% duty cycle, a 132-gallon horizontal receiver, an integrated refrigerated air dryer and an aftercooler, all on one skid and behind one power connection. Will It Fit? Siting and power Footprint. The package measures 74" long, 30.7" wide and 72.2" tall, and weighs 1,329 lbs. The horizontal tank makes it long and comparatively narrow, which usually suits a wall run better than a floor island. Leave clearance at the hinged doors and detachable panels; fast servicing depends entirely on being able to open them. Electrical. The motor is listed as 208-230/460V, 3-Phase. Quincy publishes no amp draw and no recommended breaker size, saying instead that a certified electrician should be consulted — and we are not going to fill that gap with a guess. Your electrician sizes the feeder and the overcurrent protection from the nameplate on the machine. Have that conversation before you book the delivery. Plumbing. The receiver's outlet is 1", which is where your shop main picks up. An electronic drain valve is listed as not fitted, so condensate draining is a manual routine that somebody has to own — put it on a checklist rather than trusting to memory, because a tank left undrained is the fastest way to shorten the life of a receiver. Confirming that the room, the floor loading, the supply and the ventilation suit a continuously running machine is the customer's responsibility, and it is a great deal cheaper to establish before the crate arrives. Buying one compressor and planning for two Most shops that outgrow their air do it gradually, and the usual result is a second compressor bolted into the same main with nothing coordinating the two. Both machines then load against the same demand, cycle against each other and wear unevenly. Networking up to six QGS units in the 20 to 30 HP range under one controller avoids that: the machines share the work under a single scheme instead of competing for it, and adding capacity becomes a plumbing and commissioning job rather than a rethink of the whole air system. That is the practical reason to consider 25 HP now instead of over-buying. If your demand genuinely justifies more air today, buy more today — but if you are sizing against a demand you expect rather than one you have, a machine with a documented expansion path is a more honest purchase than a larger one bought on optimism. 100% duty cycle, and what it actually promises A 100% duty cycle rating means the machine is designed to run continuously rather than for a fraction of each hour. This is the single largest practical difference between a rotary screw and a large piston compressor, and it changes how you size a system: you are matching the machine to your continuous demand rather than to a peak it can only sustain briefly. The airend is oil-injected twin screw, with premium synthetic lubrication specified for long service intervals and low oil carryover, constant fluid monitoring, a spin-on fluid filter, an oil sight glass and low-oil shutdown on both engine and pump. The full sound enclosure and the inherently smoother action of screw compression are what the quiet operation claim rests on — this is not a machine that announces every cycle across the shop. The TEFC motor carries IP 55 wash-down protection against dirt and moisture, and a Wye-Delta reduced voltage start to soften inrush. The display panel shows auto-run, general alarm and power-on indication alongside pressure, temperature and dewpoint readings, which is how you verify the dryer is working rather than assuming it. Perfect For Growing shops. The 20 to 30 HP networking range is the reason to start here rather than over-buy. Single-delivery installations. Compressor, 132-gallon receiver and dryer arrive together on one skid. All-shift air users. Tyre and body work, blasting, production lines, instrument air. Sites where noise matters. A full sound enclosure and screw compression, not a piston pump in the corner. What's in the Box Quincy lists this as the QGS rotary screw compressor, the Infologic2 Basic Controller and display panel, the TEFC electric motor with IP 55 wash-down protection, the integrated refrigerant air dryer and the 132-gallon horizontal receiver, together with an aftercooler, oil sight glass, pressure gauge, air filter and low-oil shutdown on engine and pump. An electronic drain valve is listed as not included. Wiring, installation and commissioning are separate work. Certification, stated honestly The specification sheet records an ASME certification, and on this SKU that lands where you would expect it to: the package includes a 132-gallon receiver, and a coded pressure vessel is the thing an inspector or insurer normally asks about. What our product data does not record is any independent electrical or equipment safety listing covering the packaged machine as a whole, and we are not going to imply one. If your jurisdiction, your insurer or an internal standard requires an independent third-party listing on installed plant, settle that question before you buy rather than at inspection — ask us and we will get you the manufacturer's documentation in advance. Shipping and Delivery Freight only, lower 48 states, priced live at checkout against the address you enter rather than estimated on the page. At 1,329 lbs on a long skid you will need a dock or a forklift to receive it, or you can take collection from the carrier's terminal instead. A residential delivery carries a residential fee, shown at checkout when it applies. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the bill of lading at the point of delivery. A clean signature is extremely hard to argue against later, and photographs taken while the driver is still on site are usually what decides a claim. Warranty Standard published cover is 1 Year consumer and 1 Year commercial. An extended 3 Year factory warranty is available, and the True Blue 5-Year warranty applies where a Quincy authorised start-up commissions the machine. Read that condition before you install: the longest term available depends on who performs the start-up, so it has to be arranged before first run rather than negotiated afterwards. Under any term, do not disassemble the airend, the dryer circuit or the motor before a claim has been opened and assessed — a stripped component is routinely treated as an unverifiable fault. Keep the commissioning record with your fluid and filter change history; both are asked for when a claim is made.
