The team finished second in the Eredivisie, narrowly behind rivals Ajax, after a closely contested title race. PSV showcased attacking flair throughout the season, led by the prolific Mateja Kežman, who scored 35 goals in all competitions. Alongside him, emerging star Arjen Robben dazzled on the wings, becoming one of the league’s most exciting young talents. Despite their domestic firepower, PSV were unable to secure silverware. They lost the KNVB Cup final 1-0 to FC Utrecht and were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in the second group stage, unable to advance past teams like Arsenal and Roma. While trophies eluded them, the season was notable for the development of young talent and consistent attacking play. It laid a strong foundation for future success, with PSV continuing to build a team capable of competing both domestically and in Europe. Mark van Bommel was a key figure for PSV Eindhoven in the 2002/03 season, providing leadership, strength, and vision in midfield. As captain, he dictated play, contributed goals, and anchored the team during a competitive domestic and European campaign. Note: These jerseys are authentic.
