The integrated UV clarifier flocculates free-floating algae particles as water passes through, allowing the filter media to capture them on the next pass for consistently clear water. Easy-Clean Backwash The CPF-0500 uses a valve-based backwash system, turning the handle reverses flow through the media to flush accumulated debris to waste without opening the canister or getting your hands dirty. Annual UV bulb replacement (9W, T5 style) is the only routine maintenance required beyond backwashing.
