Club: Portugal NT Year: 2006/08 Brand: Nike Jersey Type: Home Size: XL Player Name: Cristiano Ronaldo 17 Chest length (cm): 61 Shirt length (cm): 75 History: Worn for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo was still a year away from being rated as the greatest of his peers at the time. However, this shirt will be synonymous with that wink after getting his club teammate, Wayne Rooney, sent off after a stamp on Portugal defender, Ricardo Carvalho in the quarterfinals of the tournament. With the image of CR7 rushing front and centre of the referee asking for a red card incited speculations of possible fallout between the two United teammates in the following preseason, making Ronaldo the villain in the eyes of the English fans. That shirt was also remembered for the Round of 16 tie between Portugal & Netherlands dubbed "The Battle of Nuremberg" as a total of 16 yellow and 4 red cards were shown to both sides as an ill feelings from the previous Euros on display. Making the tournament the last memorable World Cups in modern history.
