Replacement 36-Watt Quartz Sleeve for Pondmaster ClearGuard UV Clarifiers The quartz sleeve transmits UV light from the bulb into the water while keeping the bulb dry. On a 36-watt ClearGuard clarifier, a clouded or cracked sleeve sharply reduces UV energy reaching suspended algae, causing green water to persist even when the bulb and unit are otherwise functional. This replacement restores full UV transmission for large-pond ClearGuard UV systems.
