Restore Your Pump's Performance The impeller is the hardest working part of your pump—it's the spinning component that moves the water. Over time, impellers can wear down or get damaged by debris, leading to reduced water flow. This genuine replacement impeller is the fastest and most economical way to restore your pump to its full power. Compatibility Guide This replacement impeller is designed specifically for Model 18 / 1800 series pumps from Pondmaster and Supreme. Before ordering, please check the label on your pump to ensure it matches one of the models or item numbers below. An impeller change is the perfect time for a deep clean. Soak the Pump: Disassemble the pump and place the pump body, impeller cover, and old impeller parts (if you're trying to salvage them) in a bucket. Create a 50/50 solution of water and a pond-safe descaler (like CLR or simple white vinegar). Wait: Let the parts soak for 12 hours or more. This will dissolve the tough mineral and calcium buildup (the white, crusty deposits) that chokes performance. Scrub: After soaking, use a soft brush (an old toothbrush works perfectly) to scrub away any remaining softened sludge or deposits from the pump housing and impeller well. Rinse Thoroughly: This is a critical step. Rinse all components completely with fresh water to remove every trace of the descaling solution before reassembling with your new impeller. This deep clean ensures your new impeller spins freely in a pristine housing, maximizing flow and extending the life of your pump.
