The Disruptor (US Patent 9146067) is a forced reset trigger built on a drop-in cassette architecture. The entire fire control group — hammer, trigger, disconnector, springs, and reset mechanism — comes pre-assembled inside the cassette housing. Drop it into your mil-spec AR-15 lower, insert the pins, and it runs. No gunsmithing. No fitting. No permanent modification. The key mechanism: as the bolt carrier group cycles rearward after each shot, it physically forces the trigger forward to its reset point. On a standard trigger, that reset happens through spring tension alone. On the Disruptor, it's mechanically imposed by the BCG. The result is a dramatically shorter felt reset and cyclic rates approaching 1,150 RPM in Enhanced Semi-Auto mode — while still firing exactly one round per trigger pull. Every shot requires a deliberate trigger pull by the shooter. Release pressure and the firing cycle stops immediately. This is how the Disruptor remains federally legal as a semi-automatic trigger under the NFA. About the Rebrand — Partisan Triggers → The Triggered Company As of May 1, 2026, Partisan Triggers has officially rebranded as The Triggered Company. The Disruptor is now sold under SKU TTC-DSPTR-ART-GRN/BLK. The trigger itself is mechanically unchanged — same patented cassette design, same USA manufacturing, same warranty. If you've been waiting to buy a Partisan Disruptor, you're buying the same trigger under the new name. Three Selector Positions — One Trigger SAFE Standard mechanical safety. Disconnects trigger from firing sequence. SEMI Standard semi-automatic function. One round per trigger pull, manual reset by shooter. FRT Enhanced Semi-Auto (forced reset) mode. BCG mechanically resets trigger after each shot. One round per trigger pull, reset speed limited only by BCG cycle. Remove magazine, lock bolt open, confirm chamber empty. Press pivot and takedown pins. Separate upper and lower receivers. Set upper aside. Loosen (do not remove) the pistol grip screw to allow safety removal. Remove the installed safety selector. Remove the hammer pin. Remove the hammer and hammer spring assembly. Remove the trigger pin. Remove the trigger, sear, and trigger spring assembly. Drop the Disruptor cassette assembly into the trigger pocket. Install the TTC 3-position safety selector. Use a small tool to depress the safety detent if needed to seat fully. Tighten pistol grip screw. Install anti-rotation pins and apply thread locker. Reassemble upper and lower. When closing, pull the charging handle back slightly to clear the trip bar. Close and function check. M16-cut lowers: The extra clearance in M16/auto sear pocket lowers can allow a critical internal screw to back out. Stake it before seating the cassette. Buffer requirement: A standard carbine buffer cycles too fast for reliable FRT reset timing. H2 (4.6 oz) is the minimum. H3 is the recommended sweet spot for carbine-length builds. This is the #1 cause of FRT cycling issues — verify buffer weight before your first range Compatibility Compatible: Standard mil-spec AR-15 lowers (direct impingement and piston systems). Runs reliably across standard magazine types including Magpul Gen 2/3 PMAG, Lancer, Daniel Defense, Hexmag, Amend 2, and GI aluminum. Not compatible: SIG MCX (light primer strikes reported). PSA AR-V 9mm PCC (ejection issues reported). Verify platform compatibility before ordering. Note on selector: TTC safety selectors must be used with the Disruptor — your existing safety selector is not compatible. The included selector is the correct one. Legal Status The Triggered Company Disruptor is federally legal following the Supreme Court's ruling in Garland v. Cargill (2024) and the May 2025 DOJ settlement ending all federal FRT enforcement. The Disruptor fires one round per trigger function and is not a machine gun under the NFA. No tax stamp required. State restrictions apply. We verify compliance on every order. We do not ship to CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, or WA. Orders placed from restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. On the Rare Breed lawsuit: The Disruptor is built on US Patent 9146067, which predates Rare Breed's patents. Engineering testimony during the February 2026 injunction hearing confirmed the two triggers operate through mechanically distinct mechanisms. The court denied Rare Breed's emergency injunction — every major procedural decision in the case has gone The Triggered Company's way. Need the complete setup? The Disruptor requires an H2+ buffer to run reliably. Our bundle includes the Disruptor FRT + M16-profile BCG + H2.5 buffer — matched, tested, and ready to run. Plus a free AR Takedown Tool. View the Complete Bundle — $449.99 → FAQ Is this the same trigger as the Partisan Disruptor? Yes. The Triggered Company is the new name for Partisan Triggers as of May 1, 2026. The Disruptor is mechanically unchanged — same patent, same materials, same manufacturing. The SKU updated to TTC-DSPTR-ART-GRN/BLK. Do I need a special buffer? Yes. For carbine-length builds and barrels 16" or shorter, you need a minimum H2 buffer (4.6 oz). H3 is recommended. A standard carbine buffer will cause cycling issues. Our bundle includes an H2.5 — the sweet spot for most builds. Is the Disruptor legal in my state? Federally legal as of May 2025. State restrictions apply — we cannot ship to CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, or WA. We verify compliance on every order using a third-party service. What's the difference between the black and OD green? Cosmetic only. Black (Model 1) and OD Green (Model 2) are mechanically identical. Choose based on your build's color scheme. Does it work in my lower? Compatible with standard mil-spec AR-15 lowers on DI and piston systems. Not compatible with SIG MCX or PSA AR-V 9mm PCC. M16-cut lowers require staking the internal screw before installation. What comes in the box? The Disruptor cassette assembly, TTC 3-position safety selector, anti-rotation pins, thread locker, and installation documentation. Every order from ARTakedownTool.com also includes a free AR Takedown Tool. The Triggered Company Disruptor is designed to fire one round per trigger function and is federally legal under the NFA. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws is the buyer's sole responsibility. ARTakedownTool.com verifies state compliance on every order and does not ship to restricted states. Installation by a qualified gunsmith is recommended. Not compatible with all platforms — verify compatibility before ordering.
