OASE Bitron C UV clarifiers aid in reducing their growth and spread by passing pond water past a powerful UV lamp. The UVC light causes green algae to clump together so they can be removed by the filter unit. The amount of water subjected to UV light can be adjusted with the integrated bypass regulator. This way, the OASE Bitron C can be adapted to maintain the balance of any pond environment. OASE is the only company offering automatic cleaning technology in clarifiers. The integrated automatic cleaning mechanism keeps the UV lamp's quartz cover clear and free of deposits, so the UV light's intensity remains at full strength without additional maintenance. The automatic cleaning mechanism is powered by the water flow around the quartz glass tube and prevents sludge or algae from forming deposits. Integrated permanent magnets help prevent calcium deposits and guarantee long periods of operation without maintenance. Product Features Weatherproof but not submersible All UVC clarifiers have an automatic cleaning system which ensures that the full output of the light is effectively used The automatic cleaning mechanism is continuously powered by the water flow through the clarifier and does not use additional energy The integrated permanent magnets prevent calcium deposits on important pump and filter parts and guarantee long periods of operation without maintenance An integrated lamp inspection window is standard on all Bitron C clarifiers - provides easy visual inspection of the UVC light to ensure its correct function The amount of water subjected to the UV light can be adjusted with the integrated bypass regulator UV lamps should be replaced after 10,000 hours of operation for maximum UV efficiency The Bitron C has one inlet and two outlets All Bitron C clarifiers are 100 % compatible with all OASE Biotec Filters 2-year warranty (warranty does not cover UV lamps) Product Specifications Bitron 36C Maximum Flow Rate (GPH) 8,000 Maximum Flow Past UVC (GPH) 1,200 Watts 36 Inlet Size 1-1/2" threaded (includes step-down hose adapter for 3/4" to 2" kink-free tubing) Discharge Size (2) 1-1/2" threaded (includes step-down hose adapters for 1" to 1-1/2" kink-free tubing) Power Cord Length 15 ft.
