NT Labs Koi Care Koi Calm is an essential sedative solution designed to facilitate the careful handling of koi and other pond fish. It effectively slows the fish down, reducing their stress levels to allow for smooth and safe topical application of treatments such as Ulcer Swab and Wound Seal. This product also proves invaluable for movement and close inspection, ensuring the well-being of your aquatic companions. Using this formulation, you can calm your fish by dosing at 10 drops for every 5 litres of water. The typical exposure time ranges between 5 to 10 minutes to achieve the desired placid state. After the sedation process, reintroducing your fish to untreated water necessitates gentle handling to expedite recovery. This involves irrigating water through the gills by moving the fish while holding or gently pouring water through the mouth and gills until they are upright and swimming. Testimonies highlight its efficacy, such as a successful sedation of a large Red Tailed Catfish being transferred to a public aquarium, without any subsequent sedation required during the two-hour transport.
