· Sold by ARTakedownTool.com ✓ Made in Texas, USA ✓ Genuine Forced Reset Function ✓ 3-Position Selector ✓ From $119.99 ✓ In Stock — Ships Fast The Kabuto is the most affordable genuine forced reset trigger on the AR-15 market — a compact drop-in FRT cassette built for pocket-cut lowers and made in Texas. Now available in two generations: the proven Gen 2 Original at $119.99 and the all-new Gen 3 Monolithic Dual-Tab at $139.99, featuring a CPA6 carbon fiber blend housing — one of the strongest polymer housings used in any FRT. Choose Your Generation Kabuto Gen 2 — Original $119.99 The original Kabuto design that made FRT performance accessible to every builder. Steel internals, carbon fiber nylon components, single-lever reset architecture, and genuine forced reset function at the lowest price of any FRT we carry. New — Gen 3 Kabuto Gen 3 — Monolithic Dual-Tab $139.99 The upgraded design. A monolithic dual-tab reset architecture spreads the reset force across two contact tabs instead of loading a single lever — reducing stress on the mechanism for a more durable, consistent reset cycle. Housed in a CPA6 carbon fiber blend body, the highest-grade polymer housing in the Kabuto line. What Changed in Gen 3? Monolithic dual-tab reset The Gen 2 resets through a single lever — a proven design, but one part carries the entire reset load, cycle after cycle. Gen 3 moves to a monolithic body with dual reset tabs, splitting that force across two contact points. Less stress per surface, more consistent engagement, longer service life. CPA6 carbon fiber blend housing Gen 3's housing is molded from CPA6 — carbon-fiber-reinforced PA6 nylon. Carbon-filled PA6 is prized in high-stress applications for its stiffness, impact strength, and dimensional stability under heat, making it an ideal match for the repeated impact loads of forced reset cycling. Watch the Kabuto install guide (embedded below on this page) before starting — it answers most fitment questions before they become problems. Compatibility & Required Hardware Pocket-cut AR-15 lowers only. Not compatible with CMMG .22 lowers or AR-9 lowers — do not attempt. M16-profile (full-auto cut) BCG required, like every AR-15 FRT. We run the MPI Nickel Boron M16-Cut BCG — $159.99. Heavy buffer strongly recommended to prevent bolt bounce: Odin Works HFRT Buffer — $79.99 or an H2/H3 buffer. Full-power ammo. Underpowered loads won't cycle the carrier far enough to engage the forced reset. State Restrictions Apply: Forced reset triggers cannot be shipped to certain states. Review our FRT legality guide before ordering — it is your responsibility to know and comply with your local laws. Why the Kabuto? The FRT market has largely lived at $299 and up. The Kabuto puts genuine forced reset function — the same fundamental BCG-driven reset mechanism as every premium FRT — in a compact cassette starting at $119.99. It's the lowest-cost way to run a real FRT, and the Gen 3 brings housing and reset-architecture upgrades that punch far above the price point.
