Northern Lights Knitted crew neck sweater — Tromsø Edition Northern Lights: Marked across the chest are the coordinates 69.6492° N, 18.9553° E — a real point on the map that leads to Tromsø, Norway, one of the most legendary places on Earth to witness the Aurora Borealis. This location sits directly beneath the Auroral Oval, the band of atmosphere where Northern Lights activity happens most often. When charged particles from the sun collide with Earth’s magnetic field high above the Arctic, waves of green, violet, and electric light ignite the sky — and in Tromsø, they don’t just appear on the horizon. They move directly overhead, turning the night into a living canvas. Inspired by the Arctic skies above Tromsø, the Northern Lights Sweater captures the spirit of exploration, navigation, and the quiet wonder of the far north. The design blends cartographic elements with celestial navigation, featuring the exact coordinates of Tromsø—one of the world’s best vantage points for witnessing the aurora borealis. Across the front, a vintage-style compass and polar navigation grid evoke the tools once used by explorers and sailors navigating the northern seas. The constellation line flows across the shoulder and sleeve, representing the stars that have guided travelers for centuries. Along the sleeve, a minimalist coastline map anchors the piece to the dramatic geography of northern Norway. The Northern Lights Sweater is more than a garment—it’s a tribute to the explorers, dreamers, and night sky watchers who took up, and let smoke up. - 55% cotton, 45% polyester - Fabric weight: 13.27 oz./yd.² (450 g/m²) - Lightweight, soft-feel fabric - Unisex sizing - Machine washable - Blank product sourced and fulfilled in China Disclaimers: - The sweater may shrink slightly after the first wash. - Wash at 30–40°C. - The average fulfillment time for this product is 7–14 days, with shipping being up to 2 weeks depending on the destination.
