Replacement Intake Air Filter for Matala 3/4 HP Rocking Piston Compressor The intake air filter on your Matala 3/4 HP compressor protects the cylinder and piston seals from dust, pollen, and debris that would otherwise accelerate internal wear. Once a filter clogs, the compressor draws harder to maintain pressure, runs hotter, and shortens piston seal life. This genuine Matala replacement fits 3/8" MPT intake ports on 3/4 HP MPC series compressors and takes under five minutes to swap at spring startup. Protect a Long-Term Investment A 3/4 HP Matala rocking piston compressor, properly maintained, runs for a decade or more. The intake air filter is the cheapest maintenance item on the unit. Replacing it annually keeps compression efficiency up, electricity draw down, and heat-related piston seal failures out of the picture during peak summer aeration demand. Specification Value Compatible With Matala 3/4 HP MPC series compressors Connection 3/8" MPT (Male Pipe Thread) Function Intake air filtration Replacement Interval Annually or when output pressure drops Installation Shut off the compressor and allow it to cool. Unthread the old filter from the intake port and thread the new one on hand-tight. Restart and confirm normal output pressure. Replace sooner if airflow drops noticeably or the filter element shows visible discolouration from dust or debris loading. Ideal for large pond and water garden aeration systems running Matala 3/4 HP rocking piston compressors, particularly where outdoor air quality includes high pollen or dust loads.
