This is the assisted reset trigger built for you — the first Kabuto ever machined specifically for the LaRue MBT two-stage trigger. The bottom of the housing is precision-cut to mate with the MBT's machined S7 tool steel profile, so the forced reset device sits on your LaRue the way generic Kabutos never could. High-end metal components throughout — not a single laser-cut piece, not one surface left rough — a 316 stainless steel, polished and bead-blasted 3-position ambidextrous selector, a bearing steel main pin, and every unit hand-assembled in Fort Worth, Texas by the same shop behind our Full Metal Kabuto line. No corners cut. No quality sacrificed. The highest-quality Kabuto ever made, with no comparison on the market. Why a LaRue-Specific Cut Matters The LaRue MBT-2S has earned its reputation as the two-stage trigger that goes toe-to-toe with Geissele at a fraction of the price: every major component machined from solid S7 tool steel plates — no MIM parts — breaking at a glass-smooth 4.5 lbs (2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second), with a heavy spring included for a 6 lb duty setup. It's one of the most-installed precision triggers in the AR world, and it's built in Texas, like this Kabuto. Here's the problem it created: generic Kabuto housings are shaped around mil-spec fire control groups. Drop one over an MBT's machined plate profile and you're into shimming, sanding, and hoping. The LaRue Cut Kabuto ends that — the underside of the housing is machined to the MBT's actual geometry, so engagement is right by design, not by fitment session. Two-stage precision below, assisted reset above, both cut in Texas. Running a Geissele? This cut is LaRue-specific — the MBT and Geissele two-stage profiles are not the same shape. Geissele owners, reach out about fitment before ordering. Mil-spec trigger shooters: our standard Kabuto Metal Ambi and Full Metal Kabuto are your fit. Built Like the Trigger It Sits On 316 stainless steel ambi selector — polished and bead-blasted for a glass-smooth throw, full 3-position control from both sides: Safe, Semi, and Forced Reset (assisted reset) mode. Fully CNC machined — not a single laser-cut piece. Laser cutting is the shortcut most of this market runs on; every component here is machined, and every surface is finished. Not one piece of metal left rough or untouched. Bearing steel main pin at the highest-stress pivot in the system — the material bearings are made from, where the load actually lives. Hand-assembled, every unit. Polished, machined parts fitted by hand in Fort Worth — not bagged parts, not a kit. There is no comparison on the market. LaRue-specific housing cut — the first and only Kabuto machined to the MBT's profile.
