Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum is a 75ml floral-gourmand fragrance for women — one of the most popular and recognisable perfumes of the modern era. A radiant iris heart meets juicy fruit and a warm patchouli-vanilla base, capturing the brand's celebration of "the beauty of life" in scent form, in a generous everyday flagship size. About La Vie Est Belle Lancôme is the iconic French luxury beauty house, and La Vie Est Belle — launched in 2012 — has earned its place as one of the brand's most successful fragrances ever. Composed by an all-star team of perfumers Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, it pioneered a modern gourmand-iris signature that has since influenced an entire genre of feminine perfumery. More than a decade later, it remains a global best-seller. Fragrance notes Top: pear, blackcurrant Heart: iris, jasmine, orange blossom Base: patchouli, praline, vanilla, tonka bean How it wears The fragrance opens with a juicy, slightly sparkling fruit accord — pear and blackcurrant give an immediate impression of brightness and modern femininity. The heart unfolds into a luminous iris, supported by jasmine and orange blossom for a refined, slightly powdery floral character that defines La Vie Est Belle's signature. As it dries down, smooth patchouli and gourmand praline wrap around vanilla and tonka bean, creating the warm, slightly sweet, deeply comforting trail that has made the fragrance so beloved. Who it's for La Vie Est Belle is for women who love sophisticated, slightly indulgent feminine perfumery — wearers who enjoy floral-gourmand compositions, fans of luxury designer fragrance and those building a polished signature scent. It is also one of the most popular gift fragrances in the world, prized for its broad appeal and instantly recognisable smile-shaped flacon. The 75ml size is the brand's middle option — generous for daily wear, more practical than the 100ml flagship. How and when to wear it This is a versatile day-to-evening fragrance and is at its most flattering through autumn and winter, when the warm patchouli-vanilla base really comes through. Spray onto pulse points — wrists, the inside of the elbows and the base of the throat — and avoid rubbing the wrists together so the iris heart can develop.
