Skip the mess of cutting and patching a flexible liner. Laguna Water Basins give you an instant, pre-shaped foundation for a water garden — just dig a hole to match, drop it in, and you're ready to fill. No measuring liner overlap, no folds, no leaks. Why gardeners choose a rigid basin over a flexible liner: Pre-formed shape and depth — no guesswork on excavation Heavy-duty injection-molded polyethylene — built for real weather, not just display Resists cracking, peeling, and fading for 10 years (guaranteed) Handles extreme heat and freezing winters without warping 100% safe for fish and aquatic plants Choose your size: Model Volume Dimensions (L×W×H) Best for Laguna 227 (PT788) 227 L 105 × 72 × 30 cm(42 × 28.5 × 12 in) Small patio features, container ponds, a few goldfish Laguna 470 (PT795) 470 L 130 × 80 × 46 cm(51 × 32 × 18 in) Mid-size garden ponds, small koi or several fish + plants Laguna 1000 (PT796) 1000 L 180 × 120 × 60 cm(70 × 47 × 24 in) Large feature ponds, koi, multiple fish and plant zones Installation is simple: excavate a hole matching the basin's shape and depth, set the basin in place and level it, backfill around the edges, then fill with water and add your fish or plants. Not sure which size fits your space? As a rule of thumb, plan for at least 1,000L per 2–3 koi as they mature — the 227L and 470L are better suited to goldfish, small ornamental fish, or plant-focused features.
