Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Marine 110ml is the 2023 marine-and-floral chapter of the brand's iconic men's fragrance — composed by Givaudan perfumer Quentin Bisch and built around just three ingredients: sea notes, ylang-ylang and sandalwood with musk. The result is a calm, sun-on-water aquatic that updates the original Kenzo Homme bamboo-stem signature for a contemporary audience. About Kenzo Kenzo is a French fashion house founded in Paris in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, internationally known for its bold botanical prints and joyful, colour-led collections. The fragrance line, produced under L'Oréal, has produced some of the most identifiable bottles in modern perfumery — including the iconic bamboo-shaped Kenzo Homme flacon, originally launched in 1991 as one of the first modern men's marine fragrances. Fragrance notes Top: Sea Notes Heart: Ylang-Ylang Base: Sandalwood, Musk Olfactory family: Aquatic Floral Woody | Launched: 2023 | Perfumer: Quentin Bisch (Givaudan) | Gender: Men The story behind Kenzo Homme Marine Bisch's brief was to take the marine character Kenzo introduced to men's perfumery in the 1990s and pare it back to its essentials — a deliberately minimalist three-note structure. The ylang-ylang in the heart adds a subtle floral lift that's unusual in modern men's aquatics, while the sandalwood-musk base anchors it in a warm, refined drydown. The bottle keeps the iconic bamboo silhouette of the original Kenzo Homme. Who it's for Best for fans of clean, modern aquatic fragrance with a soft floral nuance — natural territory for those drawn to Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, Davidoff Cool Water Reborn or Acqua di Giò. The sandalwood-musk drydown gives it grown-up character; the sea notes and ylang-ylang keep it crisp and unmistakably "marine." Best in spring, summer and warm autumn weather, and a strong daily office or daytime signature year-round. How to wear it Spray onto pulse points — wrists, neck and the base of the throat — from around 15 cm away. As an Eau de Toilette, expect crisp projection in the first hour and a soft, marine-floral skin scent for around five hours total. Reapply once through the day if you want it to stretch from afternoon into evening.
