Katool KT-TV910 Hydraulic Truck Tire Changer Katool KT-TV910: the truck tire changer that publishes a tire weight limit Almost every tire changer on the market is sold on rim diameter alone. Katool publishes something considerably more useful for the KT-TV910: a maximum tire weight of 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg). On a machine that spends its working life on truck, bus, tractor and earth-moving wheels, weight is the figure that actually decides whether a job is in scope. Two wheels can share a rim size and differ by hundreds of pounds of rubber, and it is the rubber that loads the turntable, the clamps and the operator. If you service mixed heavy fleets, that one number tells you more about this machine than any other line on the sheet. What it is: a floor-standing electro-hydraulic changer for commercial and agricultural wheels, driven by a 4.0 HP hydraulic motor, taking wheels up to 63 inches (1,600 mm) in overall diameter and rims down to 14 inches. It is a shop machine rather than a mobile one, at 1,256 lbs (570 kg) net. Will It Fit? A tire changer asks nothing of your ceiling, so fitment here is a doorway, floor and power question instead. Every item below is yours to confirm before the truck arrives, because we cannot see your building, your slab or your panel. Getting it in. It ships at 1,388 lbs (630 kg) in a crate measuring 1,300 mm by 1,100 mm by 1,830 mm. The same crate size in inches appears in the specification table further down this page. Measure your roller door and the route from it to the bay before delivery day, not after. Power. Katool lists this machine at 220V and 60 Hz. Confirm the phase with us before an electrician quotes the circuit: published phase configurations differ, with the specification table saying one thing and a product data field saying another. Ask, and we will check the phase against the machine itself. Floor. Flat, solid and level. A machine that pulls a 3,306 lb tire off a rim reacts that force through its own base into your slab. Your responsibility. The building, the floor, the electrical supply and the unloading are the buyer's to arrange. If any of them is uncertain, sort it out before you order rather than while a freight driver is waiting. Why a weight rating is the honest limit Diameter tells you whether a wheel will physically sit on the table. Weight tells you whether the machine should be asked to turn it. A bead that has been seated for a decade on an agricultural rim does not let go politely, and the force that finally breaks it is reacted through the clamps, the table bearing and the hydraulic circuit. The heavier the assembly, the more of that force is inertia rather than useful work. A bead tool designed around rims you cannot replace The bead system on the KT-TV910 uses a beak and disk arrangement rather than a lever and bar. That distinction is worth understanding because it is the difference between a cosmetic repair bill and none. A lever works by prying against the rim flange; a disk rolls the bead down and away with hydraulic force applied progressively. On steel truck rims the difference is mostly speed. On polished alloy and on the more delicate wheels that arrive with a fleet's tractor units, it is the difference between handing the wheel back and explaining a gouge. Controls where the operator is actually standing, under 70 dB The multifunction control on this machine is designed to be driven from wherever the operator happens to be, with foot pedals and helper controls positioned at the point of use. That is an ergonomics claim, but it is also a training and error claim: a technician who does not have to walk back to a console to make a small adjustment makes more small adjustments, and a technician who never takes their eyes off a half-mounted bead makes fewer expensive mistakes. Katool builds the electrical side around low-voltage components at the operator's controls, which is the sensible choice in a bay where water, rubber lubricant and steel are all present at once. Perfect For Heavy truck and bus fleet shops bringing tire work in-house instead of paying a mobile service per call. Agricultural and off-road dealers handling tractor, implement and loader wheels alongside road-going stock. Mixed independent shops that want one machine covering both commercial rims and the occasional oversized specialty wheel. What is in the Box Katool does not publish a packing list for this machine on this listing, and we are not going to invent one. What the manufacturer's own feature list describes as part of the machine is: the electro-hydraulic power system with its 4.0 HP hydraulic motor; the external clamping turntable; the beak and disk bead tool; the multifunction control with ergonomically positioned foot pedals and helper controls; a low-voltage control circuit; and protective covers over the hydraulic assemblies. Hydraulic oil, a compressed air supply and any wheel-specific adaptors are not described as included. Specifications Maximum wheel diameter 63 inches (1,600 mm) Smallest rim handled 14 inches Maximum tire weight 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg) Hydraulic motor 4.0 HP Supply 220V, 60 Hz Phase see the note in Will It Fit above Noise level under 70 dB Maximum wheel width 31 inches, but see the note below Net weight 1,256 lbs (570 kg) Shipping weight 1,388 lbs (630 kg) Crate 1,300 mm by 1,100 mm by 1,830 mm Two figures to confirm before you order Published figures for this machine differ in two places. Maximum wheel width: the specification table gives 31 inches, while a product data field gives 24 inches. External clamping range: the specification table and the feature list give 14 inches to 42 inches, while other product fields give a wider outside range and a different inside range again. If your wheels sit anywhere near any of those limits, confirm the figure with us before you order, and we will check it against the machine itself. Certification, stated plainly The material we hold on this machine does not claim a third-party safety listing from any recognised testing body, and we are not going to imply one with a badge. Some commercial insurance policies, some fleet and municipal maintenance contracts, and some local jurisdictions require shop equipment to carry a specific independent listing, and a manufacturer's own declaration is not the same document. If any of that applies to your operation, get the requirement in writing from your insurer, your safety officer or your inspector first, then ask us for the documentation that actually ships with this machine. Shipping and delivery This machine moves by freight truck to addresses in the lower 48 states, free of charge. At 1,388 lbs in the crate, unloading is the receiver's job: you need a forklift, a loading dock or a machine capable of taking it off the trailer. If none of those is realistic, collecting from the carrier's local terminal is usually the easier route, and the terminal has the equipment. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you choose that option. Inspect the crate before you sign anything. Walk it, look for crushed corners, punctures, shifted banding and any sign of oil, and write what you find on the bill of lading while the driver is still standing there. Photograph it. A clean signature is the carrier's evidence that the shipment arrived undamaged, and arguing with it afterwards is very hard. Warranty Katool covers this machine with a one-year warranty on all product parts, and publishes the full warranty document separately. One warning applies to every hydraulic machine regardless of who built it: if something fails, do not open the power unit, a cylinder or a valve block before a claim is raised. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, and that is the fastest way to lose coverage that would otherwise have been honoured. Photograph the fault, note the serial number, and call first. Contact us for more information on shop and garage equipment.
