Katool KT-MP3 Lift Screw Pad, Set of Four The KT-MP3 is sold as a complete set of four, and that is the part of this listing that actually matters. Lift pads are a wear item, they wear at different rates depending on which arm sees the heaviest use, and replacing one worn pad while three tired ones stay on the lift is how a vehicle ends up sitting unevenly on the arms. A set replaces the whole contact surface of the lift at once, so all four arms present the same face to the vehicle again. These fit Katool two-post lifts across the range, which makes them the straightforward maintenance part rather than a fitment puzzle. What a screw pad is A screw pad takes its name from the threaded stem it sits on: the pad body turns to raise or lower the contact face. That is what lets a technician bring all four contact points onto a vehicle's lift points when those points are not all at the same height — which, on anything with sills at different heights, a slight list from a heavy fuel tank, or a mismatched pair of springs, is most vehicles most days. The alternative to adjustable pads is a stack of loose blocks, and loose blocks are the thing that goes wrong. The height range available on this particular pad is not published in our data. We are not going to state one we cannot source, so if adjustment range is the reason you are buying, ask us before you order and we will confirm it against the manufacturer's documentation. Why worn pads are a safety item and not a cosmetic one A lift pad does two jobs at once. It carries the load, and it grips. As the contact surface hardens, glazes, cracks or crumbles at the edges, the grip goes first — long before the pad looks unusable. A vehicle that shifts a fraction of an inch on the arms during a brake job is not merely startling; it is the beginning of the failure everyone in a workshop has heard a story about. The everyday version of the same problem is damage. A perished pad transmits point loads straight into a pinch weld or a sill, and the mark it leaves is on a customer's car. New pads with an intact face spread the load the way the lift was designed for. Fitting a set: the practical checklist Confirm your lift. These are made for Katool two-post lifts. Check the model plate on the column before ordering. Replace all four together. Mixed old and new pads reintroduce the height difference you are replacing them to remove. Clean the threads. Screw pads live in a wet, salty, brake-dust environment. Clean and lubricate the threads on refit so the adjustment still works next year rather than seizing solid. Recheck your lift points. New pads sit at a different starting height from pads that have been compressed for years. Set the arms and check the vehicle's contact points on the first lift, not on the tenth. Keep the old set only if they are serviceable. A cracked pad kept as a spare is a cracked pad that will one day get fitted in a hurry. Perfect For Working shops on a maintenance schedule, replacing pads before they fail rather than after. Home garages with an older Katool two-post, where the original pads have simply aged out. Anyone who has just bought a used lift — pads are the first thing to renew and the quickest way to trust what you have bought. Shops working varied vehicles, where adjustable contact height is used every single day. What you get Four screw pads, supplied as a set, for Katool two-post lifts. That is the whole of what the product data states, and we would rather leave it there than pad the list out with hardware we cannot confirm is in the box. Specifications Model KT-MP3 Supplied as Set of four Type Screw pad, threaded adjustable contact Fits Katool two-post lifts Shipping and pickup Pads travel to the lower 48 and the carrier charge is worked out live against your delivery address during checkout, so the figure is current rather than assumed. Warehouse collection is offered too. Open the parcel and count the pads before you sign anything: a short-shipped set is far easier to resolve at the door than a week later, and a note written on the delivery paperwork at the time is the record that settles it. Warranty Katool's warranty document for its products is available from us on request. Wear on a consumable contact pad is exactly that — wear — and is not usually a warranty matter; a manufacturing defect is. If you think you have the second rather than the first, photograph the pads before removing them, keep the packaging, and speak to us before disposing of anything. Need to check these against your lift before ordering? Talk to us — we would rather answer the question than take a return.
