Katool KT-B700 Wheel Balancer Katool KT-B700: fast enough that the machine stops being the bottleneck Work out where the time actually goes on a four-wheel tire job and the balancing itself is a surprisingly small share of it. The KT-B700 spins at 180 rpm and returns a measurement in about seven seconds, to a one gram resolution. Four wheels is therefore well under a minute of machine time in a job that takes the better part of an hour. That is the honest way to read this machine's specification. It is not the widest or the heaviest-duty balancer made, and it does not pretend to be. What it is, is quick enough and repeatable enough that the person doing the work sets the pace, which for a general repair bay adding tire service is exactly the right trade. Speed is only useful if it is repeatable A fast, unstable machine is worse than a slow one, because it invites a technician to trust a reading that changes between spins. Repeatability on a balancer comes from structure, not electronics, since the sensor can only report what its mounting lets it feel. If the cabinet moves under a spinning wheel, that movement is measured as imbalance. So the numbers worth reading are structural. The body is 3 mm high-strength steel, solidly welded and specified for low vibration. The pressure sensor sits in an all-in-one support with 8 mm boards top and bottom, so it is bolted to something rigid. The shaft thread is 36 mm and quenched, because a thread that stretches under a heavy assembly puts scatter into consecutive readings of the same wheel. None of that shows up in a sales headline and all of it is why a seven-second cycle is worth having. Built for a shop floor, not a laboratory The computer board is made moisture-proof, dustproof and antistatic. That reads like filler until you consider where a balancer actually lives: next to a tire changer that blasts air, in a bay that gets hosed down, in a building where rubber crumb gets into everything. Electronics failures on this kind of equipment are overwhelmingly environmental rather than electrical. Alongside it, built-in fault diagnosis and double-sided self-calibration let the machine be checked and re-zeroed in place, with no preset parameters to work around. Several balance modes handle different rim types, so a weight can be placed where a particular wheel design allows - a clip on a steel rim, an adhesive weight tucked behind an alloy spoke. Units switch between ounces and grams and between millimetres and inches. The envelope, including the two limits people miss Rim diameter and width get checked. Centre bore and wheel weight are the ones that quietly rule a modern truck wheel out, so read all four before you order: Rim diameter under 30" Wheel width 3" to 12" Wheel diameter under 880 mm (34.64") Rim centre hole under 135 mm (5.31") Wheel weight under 65 kg (143 lbs) That range covers ordinary passenger cars, crossovers and most light trucks without difficulty. It will not cover a very wide aftermarket rear fitment, and if that is regular work for you then a machine with a larger width capacity is the better purchase - tell us what you service and we will point you at it rather than sell you this one. Will it fit your shop? Power. 120V single phase (1PH), so an ordinary shop circuit rather than a three-phase installation. Floor. Flat and solid. Everything in the repeatability section is undone by a machine standing on an uneven or flexing floor. Space. A compact footprint, but allow clearance to lift a wheel onto the shaft and to stand square to the display, plus somewhere within reach for the weight tray. Your responsibility. Confirming the circuit and the floor before delivery is the buyer's job. We can state the machine's requirements; we cannot inspect your building. Perfect For General service bays taking tire work back in house rather than subletting it. Independent shops that need speed and consistency more than they need an exotic capacity. Fleet workshops with a stable, repeating wheel range. Well-equipped private and club workshops with a solid floor and single-phase power. What is in the box KT-B700 wheel balancer with a 3 mm steel body and welded frame All-in-one pressure sensor support with 8 mm boards Shaft with a 36 mm quenched thread, sized for wider wheels within the width limit Integrated power board with double-sided self-calibration and fault diagnosis The wheel guard is listed as optional, so ask for it at the time of order if you want one. Wheel weights, cones for unusual centre bores and any electrical work are not supplied. Certification, stated plainly No third-party North American safety listing is claimed anywhere in this product's data, and this page will not imply one. Wheel balancers sit outside the listing regime that applies to vehicle lifts, so for the vast majority of buyers the question simply does not arise. Where it arises is a commercial insurance schedule, a fleet or municipal purchasing rule, or a local jurisdiction that names a specific listing in a contract. If one of those governs you, verify the requirement with the party imposing it before ordering, and ask us for the documentation the manufacturer provides. Warranty Katool's warranty document sets the coverage, and this listing deliberately does not paraphrase it - ask us for the current copy if the detail matters to your decision. Independent of the terms: leave a faulty machine intact until the claim is registered. Taking it apart first is the surest way to turn a valid claim into a declined one. Shipping and delivery This balancer moves as freight to addresses in the lower 48 states. The freight amount is worked out live at checkout against the address you enter, so it is a current carrier price rather than an estimate that has been sitting on a page. The receiver is responsible for getting the crate off the truck, so plan for a forklift or a suitable machine, or book a terminal collection - usually the easier path, because the terminal already has the gear. Residential delivery adds a residential fee at checkout. Inspect before signing. Crushed corners, punctured board, shifted banding or any sign of a drop belong on the bill of lading in writing, in front of the driver, with photographs to match. A clean signature is the carrier's evidence that the machine arrived undamaged. Product Features The body uses 3mm-thick steel with high strength, solid welding and low vibration All-in-one pressure sensor support design, both bottom and side boards are 8mm thick, and it insures that the sensor work stably with high precision Top level motor and pure copper winding provides more power, faster heat dissipation, lower defect rate and longer using life The 36mm shaft thread is made by quenching treatment to offer high strength The computer board adopts advanced welding technology to make it moisture proof, dust proof and antistatic Various balance mode for different types of rims to provide more precision Built-in fault diagnosis and self-calibration program with double side calibration. No preset parameters so the users can operate with ease Unit selection (Ounce/Gram, MM/Inch) High quality integration power board, working stable and reliable Optional wheel guard Longer shaft also compatible with wider wheels Product Specifications Rim Diameter: <30" Wheel Width: 3"-12" Wheel Diameter: <880mm/34.64" Balancing Speed: 180rpm Power Supply: 120V 1PH Motor Power: 0.25KW Rim Center Hole Dia.: <135mm/5.31" Wheel Weight: <65KG/143lbs Balancing Accuracy: 1g Measuring Time: 7S Pick Up and Delivery Call, text, or chat with us if you have questions. 866-774-7743
