Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Eau de Parfum 100ml is a sweet, fruity-floral gourmand for women, originally launched by the French house in 2001 and presented in a distinctive apple-shaped bottle with a serpent-coiled stopper. Sparkling Amalfi lemon, lychee and blackcurrant open the fragrance with juicy brightness; a heart of cherry, almond and white flowers introduces a soft, sugared sweetness; and a base of marzipan, tonka bean, Virginia cedar and musk gives it a comforting, second-skin trail. About Jeanne Arthes Jeanne Arthes is an independent French perfumery founded in 1986 in Grasse, the historic capital of fine perfume. The house specialises in romantic, accessible women's fragrances and has built a loyal following around its Amore Mio line, which has grown into a small family of flankers since the original launch. Fragrance notes Top: Amalfi Lemon, Lychee, Blackcurrant Heart: Cherry, Almond, White Flowers Base: Marzipan, Tonka Bean, Virginia Cedar, Musk Olfactory family: Floral Fruity Gourmand | Launched: 2001 | Made in: France The story behind Amore Mio "Amore mio" is Italian for "my love" — the brief was a romantic, slightly retro fragrance evoking the Garden of Eden. The bottle takes the form of a small green apple wrapped in a curling gold serpent, a direct visual nod to the Eve and the apple imagery, and remains one of the more recognisable shelf presences in the affordable feminine fragrance category. Who it's for Amore Mio suits women who like sweet, fruity-floral compositions with a soft gourmand finish — think cherry liqueur and almond marzipan rather than heavier vanilla or sugar bombs. Best in autumn and winter, but versatile enough for cooler spring evenings, and suited to date nights, casual evenings out, and warm-weather travel where you want something pretty and undemanding. How to wear it Spray onto pulse points — wrists, base of the throat, and behind the ears — from around 15cm. Two to three sprays for daytime; build up for longer evening wear. Mist lightly through the ends of the hair for a soft trail without overloading the skin.
