These 6 packs of bears are created for hospitals and birthing centers who feel the need to fill the empty arms of mothers who have lost their babies, before they leave the facility to return home. As one of these mothers, I know that I would have greatly appreciated something to hold when I left the hospital. Giving a weighted teddy bear to a mother who has recently lost her child can bring comfort and some healing through the grieving process. Each bear has a soft fur coat and a carefully hand-sewn nose and will be weighted to 3 lb., 4 lb. or 5 lb. The weight is added to the main body of the bear, not the extremities.
