Hofmann GEOLINER 770 Mobile Imaging Wheel Aligner Premium Service Hofmann geoliner 770: the imaging aligner that goes through the doorway The geoliner 770 is a three-camera imaging wheel aligner aimed at shops where alignment is a production line rather than an occasional favour to a customer. The detail worth leading with is mechanical rather than electronic: the camera beam is shaped so that it will pass through a standard doorway, and the camera assembly folds down into a compact package that carries its weight low. That sounds like a footnote until you try to move a conventional aligner. An imaging system you can wheel to another bay, push against a wall overnight, or relocate to a second building is a fundamentally different asset from one that is committed to a single lane for its whole life. The portability is matched by a deliberately ordinary power requirement of 115 VAC 1Ph 50/60 Hz. There is no three-phase feed to run and no dedicated heavy circuit to install, so the decision about where this machine lives stays a workflow decision instead of an electrical one. Will it fit, and what will it measure? Two fitment questions matter here and they are not the same question. The first is whether the machine suits your building. The second is whether it suits the vehicles that come through your door. Power supply: 115 VAC 1Ph 50/60 Hz. Track width measured: 48-96" (1,219-2,438mm). Wheel base measured: 79-180" (2,007-4,572mm). Wheel size, AC200 clamps: 12-22" (305-559 mm). Tire size, AC400 clamps: 19-39" (483-991 mm). Read the last two lines carefully, because they describe two different clamping methods with two different capacity envelopes: the AC200 range is quoted against rim size, the AC400 range against the tire. If the vehicles you struggle with are at the extremes of either list, that distinction decides which clamp set you need rather than which aligner you need. The published specification does not give a cabinet footprint, a required ceiling height or a rack length, so those are yours to establish. Measure the intended parking position, the route to it, and the doorways along that route, and confirm the figures with us before ordering rather than working from the assumption that a mobile machine will fit anywhere. Cameras that tell you when the problem is not the alignment Every imaging aligner claims accuracy. The more useful question is what the system does when a reading is wrong, and this is where the monitoring logic earns its keep. The video-speed cameras watch the targets continuously and grade what they see into three responses. A minor error is corrected silently and the technician is never interrupted. A larger one is corrected but flagged, so the operator knows a compensation was applied. A fault serious enough to produce a bad alignment stops the process and demands action. The reason that matters commercially is that it separates the machine's problems from the car's. Suspension stress, a damaged component, a clamp that has slipped, a rack that is not level, poor lighting or a reflective floor all produce suspect numbers, and a technician who cannot tell which is which will chase adjustments that were never going to hold. Being told why a reading is unreliable is the difference between a comeback and a second sale. Height tracking, and the compensation you do not have to repeat On many alignment systems, raising or lowering the rack means the cameras lose their optimum view of the targets and the operator walks back to the beam to correct it. The geoliner 770 tracks height automatically and keeps the cameras positioned for the targets as the vehicle moves. Across a day of alignments that removes a repeated, unbillable interruption from every job, which is exactly the kind of saving that decides whether a shop can add an extra alignment to the schedule. Clamps that never touch the rim The AC400 wheel clamps attach with a single fast-action knob and make contact only with the tire. On a shop full of painted, polished and powder-coated alloy wheels, that is a risk-management feature as much as a convenience one: a clamp that never contacts the rim cannot mark it, and a marked wheel on a late-model vehicle can cost more to put right than the alignment earned. The single-knob action also shortens setup, and setup time is where alignment throughput is genuinely won or lost. Perfect For High-volume alignment and tire shops running alignments back to back, where minutes per job compound into extra jobs per day. Multi-bay workshops that would rather share one aligner between lanes than commit a bay to it permanently. Dealerships and fleet operations handling a wide mix of vehicles, where the measured track width and wheel base ranges above cover most of what arrives. Businesses with more than one building, where a machine that folds and moves is worth more than a fixed installation. What is included The specification for this configuration references both the AC200 and AC400 clamp ranges, and those are different clamp sets with different capacity envelopes. Our data does not carry a definitive packing list for this listing, so rather than guess at the contents we ask you to confirm the clamp set, target set and any accessories with us before ordering. Getting a clamp answer in writing at order time is easier than sourcing the right set after delivery. Specifications Power supply 115 VAC 1Ph 50/60 Hz Track width 48-96" (1,219-2,438mm) Wheel base 79-180" (2,007-4,572mm) Wheel size (AC200) 12-22" (305-559 mm) Tire size (AC400) 19-39" (483-991 mm) Certification and compliance, stated honestly The product data we hold for this aligner does not list a third-party safety certification, and we are not going to imply one. That is a statement about our records rather than a claim about the machine: a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity is a different document from an independent listing issued by a testing body, and only the second is what an insurer, a dealership programme or a local inspector normally asks to see. If your work is tied to a manufacturer's certified alignment programme, or your insurer specifies listed equipment, ask us before ordering and we will chase the documentation from the manufacturer rather than guess at it. Electrical installation is a separate question again, and it is governed by your local code and your electrician, not by us. Delivery, installation and site access This machine ships as freight, not as a parcel, and it travels crated on a pallet. Delivery, setup and instruction arrangements for Hofmann equipment are set out in the Pick Up and Delivery section further down this page, and warehouse collection is offered on much of this range — tell us at the time of order which you want, because the two are booked differently. Shipping is to addresses in the contiguous United States. Three things are the buyer's responsibility whichever route you choose. Measure the path from the delivery point to the working position, including door widths and any turn a crated machine has to make. If the delivery address is a home rather than a commercial address, say so before you order — residential delivery is arranged differently and a residential fee applies. And inspect the crate before you sign: note any damage, crushed corner or shifted strapping on the delivery receipt at the moment of delivery, and photograph it. A signed clean receipt makes a damage claim very difficult to pursue afterwards, and that is the single most common way a buyer ends up out of pocket on freight equipment. Warranty Warranty terms for this machine are published on our warranty claims page rather than quoted here, so that what you read is the current policy rather than a figure copied into a description and left to go stale. One practical warning that applies to every powered machine we sell: if something fails, contact us before disassembling the unit or attempting an internal repair. Stripping an assembly down before the claim is raised routinely voids the cover, and it also destroys the evidence the manufacturer needs to see.
