The HabiStat Classic Pro Mat Thermostat is a straightforward on/off thermostat designed for use with heat mats, heat cables, and other low-powered heaters. It works by switching the heater on at full power until the desired temperature is reached, then off until heat is needed again—making it an ideal solution for maintaining stable conditions in enclosed reptile habitats. With a maximum capacity of 450 watts, it’s suitable for a wide range of enclosure sizes and heating requirements. Trusted by reptile keepers for its simplicity and reliability, the Classic Pro Mat Thermostat offers dependable temperature control without unnecessary complexity. Please note: This thermostat is not suitable for light-emitting heat sources such as basking bulbs, as the on/off cycle would cause flickering and reduce the lifespan of both bulbs and thermostat. For those setups, the HabiStat Classic Pro Dimming Thermostat is recommended.
