DESCRIPTION Create a strong, stable foundation for your Grandio Element greenhouse without the cost and work of pouring a full concrete slab. The Grandio Element Steel Base Kit is a heavy-duty steel foundation system designed specifically for Grandio Element greenhouses. It allows the greenhouse to be installed on properly prepared dirt or soil while using anchored post holes for added stability. Available in three sizes starting at $249, this base kit offers a practical and cost-effective way to support your Element greenhouse while maintaining a clean, professional installation. Designed Specifically for the Grandio Element The Element Steel Base Kit is engineered to match the dimensions and structure of the Grandio Element greenhouse. Once installed, the base creates a secure connection between the greenhouse frame and the ground, helping improve overall rigidity and resistance to wind, ground movement, and changing weather conditions. Unlike a full concrete slab, the system uses individual anchors secured in concrete-filled post holes, reducing the amount of concrete, labor, and site preparation required. Available Sizes Choose the base kit that matches your Grandio Element greenhouse: Element 6’ x 4’ — $249 Element 6’ x 8’ — $449 Element 6’ x 12’ — $449 Always select the size that matches your greenhouse model to ensure proper fit and installation. Key Features Heavy-duty steel construction — designed for dependable outdoor use Galvanized finish — helps protect against rust and corrosion No full concrete slab required — uses individual concrete-filled anchor holes instead Made specifically for Grandio Element greenhouses — provides proper fit and alignment Adds structural stability — helps strengthen the greenhouse against wind and ground movement Three size options available — compatible with Element 6x4, 6x8, and 6x12 models Low-maintenance foundation — steel construction will not rot like traditional wood bases Clean, professional appearance — keeps the greenhouse foundation neat and unobtrusive How Is the Element Steel Base Kit Installed? Installation begins with a properly prepared and level site. The general installation process includes: Level and prepare the area where the greenhouse will be installed. Position the steel base and confirm that it is square and properly aligned. Mark the locations for the ground anchors. Move the base aside and dig the required anchor holes using a post-hole digger or auger. Attach the anchors to the underside of the steel base. Reposition the base and verify that it remains level and square. Fill the anchor holes with quick-setting concrete or a similar suitable concrete mix to secure the foundation. Once the anchors have been properly secured, the greenhouse frame can be installed onto the steel base according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do I Need a Concrete Slab? No. A full concrete slab is not required when using the Grandio Element Steel Base Kit. Instead, the system secures the greenhouse using individual ground anchors placed into concrete-filled post holes. This approach uses considerably less concrete than a traditional slab and can make installation faster, less expensive, and more practical for many backyard greenhouse projects. Please note that while a full slab is not required, concrete is still used around the individual ground anchors. Why Use a Steel Base? A properly installed steel base provides a stable starting point for the entire greenhouse structure. It helps keep the greenhouse frame aligned, adds strength at ground level, and creates a durable foundation that is resistant to moisture, rot, and corrosion. For customers installing an Element greenhouse directly on soil, the steel base kit is an excellent alternative to building a wood foundation or pouring a complete concrete pad. Compatibility The Grandio Element Steel Base Kit is designed specifically for the Grandio Element greenhouse series. It is not intended for use with other Grandio greenhouse models, including the Summit, Ascent, or Elite series. Other greenhouse models may require their own dedicated base or foundation system. Important Information The Grandio Element Steel Base Kit is sold separately from the greenhouse. Please verify your greenhouse size before ordering to ensure you select the correct base kit. Proper site preparation, leveling, anchoring, and installation are essential for greenhouse stability and long-term performance. In stock and ready to ship.
