Givenchy Pour Homme Eau de Toilette 100ml is a refined men's woody-fresh fragrance built around a sophisticated blend of citrus, lavender and clean woods. Created in 2002 by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Alberto Morillas, it opens with a bright cocktail of mandarin, grapefruit, coriander and a touch of violet, develops a clean lavender-and-vetiver heart, and settles into a polished base of cedar and warm labdanum. The 2002 launch came with the slogan "The gentleman is back" — a deliberate return to classical men's tailoring codes after the experimental fragrances of the late 1990s. Parfums Givenchy launched in 1957 with L'Interdit and has since produced landmark masculine fragrances including Gentleman, Insensé, Xeryus and Pi. Givenchy Pour Homme is positioned as the brand's modern men's classic — a refined daily wear designed to dress alongside a tailored suit. Who it's for Givenchy Pour Homme suits men who appreciate clean, well-mannered fragrances with a citrus-and-vetiver backbone. It works year-round, with a slight preference for spring and summer, and reads as professional and understated rather than loud or sweet. A natural choice for office wear, business travel and any occasion where a heavy ambery or gourmand fragrance would be out of place. Wearers of Acqua di Gio, Bvlgari Pour Homme and Chanel Allure Homme often gravitate to this composition. How to use Hold the bottle around 15–20 cm from the skin and spray onto pulse points — the inside of the wrists, behind the ears and the front of the chest. Two to three sprays is plenty for daytime wear; the citrus opening projects clearly in the first hour. For longer trail in cooler weather, mist lightly across the inside of a jacket lapel or shirt collar. Typical longevity for the EDT is 4–6 hours on skin and slightly longer on clothing. Sillage is moderate in the first hour and softens into a close, polished skin-scent thereafter — characteristic of refined woody-fresh men's compositions. What does Givenchy Pour Homme smell like? Clean, citrussy and quietly woody — a polished take on the classical "gentleman" fragrance. Mandarin and grapefruit lift the opening, lavender and vetiver carry the heart, and cedar with a touch of labdanum keeps the drydown smart and grown-up rather than sweet. Is this the same as Gentleman by Givenchy? No. Gentleman (1974, reformulated 2017) is a separate Givenchy men's line built around iris and patchouli. Givenchy Pour Homme (2002) is the woody-fresh citrus-aromatic described here. The two are unrelated despite sharing a brand.
